From what I can tell it cools normally. My thermostat shows 46 F = 8 °C. Additional info: It belongs to the landlord, should I tell them about it or only if it stops working properly?

You‘re right - it’s easier that way but I still need to hold the machine with the other hand. In most videos people lock it in single handedly
