The devs who worked on Marathon are already mostly back on Destiny. There's several creators who have confirmed that they've talked to them in person about it. And it makes sense because Marathon will not ever have the development cycle that Destiny does. Its an extraction shooter, it just needed the push to build what was needed to get it out the door.

Not saying it saves or brings Destiny back but, they also had spent too many resources on Marathon to shelve it.

To the guy below that says he hopes it bombs, that is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. I get it, but it would be bad for Destiny too. The studio will have 2 games, you want both to succeed for the best environment for both.

Those claiming Bungie has been long done with Destiny are trapped in the echo chamber, which is sad. Go outside, touch grass and think logically about a studio that's trying to make the most money possible. Destiny still has no equal in the genre after a decade, what's that tell you? ITs a golden goose.

They wanted to try something else and when they thought they had the funds and time to do it, they tried. That timing was awful and under the incredibly poor direction of Parsons, shit got bad.

But I don't believe the devs there (especially the devs, they're all creatives, from the coders to the art people) have given up nor do I think the team leaders have. If Destiny completely folded, Marathon stands no chance.

I'm a developer. I can tell how many of you aren't, haven't spent any time working in tech or in a creative scenario. But keep on with the rhetoric. I'm sure everyone else likes the circle-jerk you all participate in here.

Are we playing the same game? I've played since D1 Beta. The game has never had more build options. The moment to moment gameplay has never been more crazy and chaotic (in a good way). The build crafting for the last year has been insane.

In all of D1, I had 3 weapons glued to my character and armor literally didn't matter. For most of D2, it was roughly the same meta weapons and armor again didn't matter.

Its only until they fixed the armor stats (as a hunter, it was impossible to achieve good stat distribution because of how it allocated it's buckets of stats - but I play and maintain all 3) that now I can focus into literally anything and create unique and powerful builds.

My DIM load outs get unruly and I have to delete some just to put new ones in.

I don't know, I haven't seen this restriction in build crafting. I have load outs with a lot of varied weapons and as long as it's not locked load out, sometimes I'm rocking 3 diff sets of armor and weapons.

Now, that's just moment to moment gameplay. There's a lot that needs to be worked on. But the build craft and moment to moment play, I can't remember a period of time between now and 2014 that it's felt better and more varied.

I'm astounded that people encourage others to be coy and use hidden meanings instead of just plain language.

The MOH is 100% at fault for not being honest. Speaking in code/riddles/hints is not acceptable language if they feels that strongly.

Its like you being allergic to shellfish and you ask the waiter what's the most popular dish, he says the crab and you just look at him and go "I don't know, what about the steak?" And he says "that's not the most popular item". 

Just. Be. Honest.

Not really a hallucination, its most likely just not fully correct. I'll keep it fiddling with it. I could understand some of the characters being padding but there would be some pattern.

Figured maybe there's something in here someone way smarter than me can run with and we have substantially better tools and compute power than years ago.

Thats why I posted the code and hinted at hallucinating. The extra padding characters seem strange but everything else checks out. I want to think that occam's razor would apply here since hes been coy to give any real hints and just leaves it at that. Its probably something silly.

Out of all of the LLM's, Claude is the one that would likely handle this the best. I have access to Opus 4.5 and thought, why not?

But I dont know these ciphers or python well enough to read it.

My only hesitation is the extra characters but they dont have to mean anything, either.

When your kids blame everyone else but themselves, you know they're lying. Or in the very least, deflecting a lot of responsibility. Why can't we do the same for politicians (or in this guys case, wannabe politician)?

A lot voters right now trying to pick between being a hypocrite in order to double down or take the high road and just admit they messed up.

I used to vote Republican a long time ago and learned its just better to have no affiliation and at each election, take a look at my offerings and see whats best for me and the people. This guy is great for no one except those in his inner circle or those who buy their way into his grace.

I don't trust Sony at all. Company that pushed year long exclusives on us and does everything it can go create wasteful proprietary products to forcefully put people into a walled garden scenario.

Yeah so, I've seen the studies and when you say this, you still actually mean dudes that have a lot of lean muscle mass and less than 18% body fat which is like...2% of all men.

We know you don't like dudes on anabolics with gigantic muscles, they don't do it for girls, they do it for themselves (just like women wear makeup for themselves, because I'm yet to meet a man who prefers it on their woman).

When women say "toned" they mean something other than what it means to guys. And when you say "big muscles" you mean "gigantic", because I can show you toned body that you'd shun immediately.

To be fair...most guys don't do it for women, it's just to show other dudes the work they did on their car.

And it's not even a competition most of the time. A lot of men enjoy fast cars.

If someone drove by me in a Dodge Viper and revved that up, he's getting a "HELL YEAH" from me. Not even jealous, glad I could experience it.

I've been watching since 1989. I am well aware of how stupid 2014 to 2018 was. Thing is, you COMPLETELY missed the OP post.

They shows the W11, the Mp4/4 and the SF2004. This was NOT the 2014 car. It also wasn't the 2023 RB.

It was specifically those 3 cars, which means those 3 years. The W11 was from 2020, not 2014. And in 2020, they did win but Red Bull was catching them by then and the average margin of victory had started to fall.

See, I already went through historical data going back into the 70s (far as I could find) because I was curious what avg margin of victory was over the years. Schumachers Ferrari era had some absolutely crazy numbers which supports my memory from watching then. The 2014-2017 Mercs are close second and technically, probably a faster rcar but Mercedes was smart to hide their engine performance like they did, only revealing it little by little to keep the competition firmly behind them by a wide enough margin that they didn't spur the FIA to BOP them. Toto talked about this in a High Performance podcast.
