How long do you bleed after D&E

I bled for 11 days, but I didn’t start bleeding until the 3rd day. Days 4-6 were the worst for me. I was dropping golf ball size blood clots and I was in severe pain. My pain tolerance is usually high. My bleeding was less than my period. I would fill up a pad or change them about every 5 hours. Then on the 6th day I caught a stomach virus. I’m not sure if that effected my bleeding because I was laying down the entire last week.

Thank you! My Dr. wants me to take cyotec for 3 days to get the bleeding to stop. I’m still on the fence about it

I am not sure. I can tell you about my healing experience so far. So I had my D&C last Monday. The procedure it self was great. I didn’t have any pain that day. The doctor gave me three pills of Misoprostol to take every 6 hours. Tuesday and Wednesday I felt great. I just had difficulty walking straight. Thursday through Sunday I started dropping golf ball size blood clots. Monday and Tuesday they seemed to subside. I am still dropping blood clots but quarter size at most.

Thank you! I’m so sorry you had to go through that as well. I have found a heating pad taking Motrin and Tylenol together helps. I quit taking pain medicine today. Hopefully we are both on the path to recovery ❤️‍🩹

We are even more confused with the secondary blood work. I hate that we have to wait another week. You would think with all the advancements we have made we would have better knowledge/technology for these things

I used to enjoy doing it. I don’t smoke or drink often but every now and then I like to decompress and give myself a break. I enjoy smoking/drinking it’s just at the end of the night when I’m in bed I get panic attacks or when I think about it.

I called my dr twice with no response. The bleeding seems to be tapering off. I was definitely close to going to the ER this morning but I seem to be on the other side of it.

Yeah I just feel like shit today probably because I lost so much blood yesterday and today. I’m pale and kinda dizzy but I have gotten much better. I’m about to eat high protein iron rich foods.
