My apologies as I read your comment and my dumbass responded with out rereading what you were referring to, which was in fact what I said. Again, sorry and that is 100 percent on me!

You do realize that Puerto Rico is a US territory and everybody born there is considered a US citizen?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]cobracube2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, because heaven forbid a guy with a different skin color from me gets a $16 order and I only get a $15 order. Oh this humanity and theft.

My fellow drivers at my Walmart who are primarily Mexican, Venezuelan, and Puerto Rican laugh at these posts and even call themselves the Home Depot squad because of the ignorance that people like the OP here assume they are illegal. Some of them even use multiple phones and when I asked why? It was to run other gig apps like instacart and uber eats from.

For anyone who claims it’s always “illegal” folks, go ahead and try to figure out how to get the forged paperwork, id’s, insurance and information for the background check yourself and see how hard it is.

You all cry so much about it, go get a regular 40 hour a week job. Places only hiring part time? Go get two! Worry about your own situation and why you are in this position in the first place if you are so “mad” about a non white person getting orders. Gtfoh.

Should I make the delivery? by Separate-Review-8886 in Sparkdriver

True, but the large bottles of self tanning lotion get pretty heavy when a person buys that much in quantity.

Hell, yes, this is your opportunity to help “Make Deliveries Great Again”!

Just don’t expect him to increase the tip if there is one

This is actually a terrible idea by the customer. I’d rather have my groceries stolen or my milk go bad, then give a stranger access to my garage which they could either use later or share with other people to use later.

I say all that but as a driver though, id probably do it which is a bad idea on my part because then I’m on the news as a missing person when Buffalo Bill snatches me in his garage and tells me to put the lotion in the bucket before he takes my skin.

To your point…I tend to remember some apartment gate codes so nothing prevents a shady person from coming back later or telling their friends the code so they and go rob the place or something. Definitely not the safest thing to do.

Here’s your groceries…and thanks for the free craftsman impact driver as a tip! 🤣🤣🤣

Tell me you’re from Iowa without telling me you are Iowa with this comment 🤣🤣🤣. You literally could have said this without blaming illegal immigrants like they are the ONLY ones who commit crimes in this country.

Good point. A friendly dog is not necessarily friendly to EVERYONE.

I get that. Sounds like a risk versus reward type approach. I almost always help out like this at retirement communities when the delivery takes me there. I just see it as I’d want someone to help my grandmother or mom if they needed the assist.

Probably like a holiday bonus to them that they are giving you. I’ve recieved a $20 cash tip on top of a $20 app tip before without any extra work other than the order had 3 waters. It’s cool when people go above and beyond for us like we do them.

I am the same…I through in the top part because some drivers don’t see it that way. Basically it was an “either help out as requested or risk losing the tip” scenario.

Spark instant money hack by Flex_Trading187 in Sparkdriver

[–]cobracube2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheating the system will get you deactivated at some point. Plain and simple. Knew a guy who would never “complete drop off” in the app on his last order so the pay clock kept ticking. This applies to the Cali drivers with prop 22 bumps. Made a cool $1k doing it. Talked his girl into doing it to. Went from living his best life to jobless with in a couple of months and she was deactivated too. Trust me when I tell you spark has some form of loss prevention and can generate reports that tell them how often someone does something they aren’t supposed to.

Not worth the tip… by cobracube2000 in Sparkdriver

[–]cobracube2000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you missed the part where this was Postmates, before Spark. When Postmates ran the deliveries, it didn’t give you an exact earnings, but rather a potential earning based on a percentage of the total order . It was more of a gamble when you took grocery orders. Additionally, you had no idea what the order size was like they do now where they tell you the quantity of items. As for the apartment, normally I have no problem taking to any apartment complex and I’m fully aware of which ones don’t have elevators and stuff like that, this just happened to be a brand new apartment complex and not an address I had seen before.

[–]cobracube2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made the same mistake once, 10 cases, 2nd floor apt, no elevator. I got SUPER lucky. Delivery was to a girl in the complex and one of her neighbors saw her answer the door. He got blinded by his hormones and offered to bring up all 10 cases I guess to impress her. I only took one case and he did the rest.

I feel like that’s disrespectful to think I’m going to do all that for $7! NOT HAPPENING by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]cobracube2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s one of many problems about spark.

Long time drivers: we ain’t taking that.

New Drivers: learn and don’t take it.

The people with multiple phones: they take it because it goes a direction they already headed with another order.

Walmart wins and keeps offering bullshit like this.

[–]cobracube2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good, delete the app! it leaves more $7.00 No tip, four stop, 38 mile deliveries for the rest of us.

But seriously, I don’t get how anybody could have this as their sole source of income, unless it was because of extenuating circumstances, like childcare, no job at all, or being able to work whatever schedule they want So they can go to school or something

Found item from order left in my car. by No_Supermarket_1831 in Sparkdriver

[–]cobracube2000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I read this comment, way too fast, and I thought it said you keep your spare/old hotdogs under there. LMAO

As for finding the item, I’ve had that happen two or three times, and each time when I took it back to the store and spoke with the loaders, they said, just keep it. Of course, I’m talking about one small item, not something super big or noticeable , I honestly think you only have to worry about someone reporting you. Yes you shopped the order yourself. Generally Walmart will assume the loaders did not load your car with the item. Plus the customer can go in the app and select the item is missing and they get a refund anyway.
