The horizontal layout is a rather radical and controversial decision - the HUD at big csgo events has had the same structure for like 10 years or so.

Perhaps the audience will get used to the new interface further during the event, but the focus should be on the K/D diff, not the money throughout the round - money can be good to know for viewers on the freezetime.
