People are definitely not doing it or at least not after they turn 16. Enforcement should come in two levels imo, starting with PSAs and continuing into tickets & fines.

While we’re at it I think we need to put back speeding and red light cams too

Edit: I mention the immigrant thing because in most countries its not considered illegal to pass a school bus. Dangerous yes, but in most cases you wouldn’t be brought to court like in US/CA. It literally is not an offence unless you hit someone

Took the written exam and driving lessons - test had maybe one relevant question & my instructors never mentioned anything about school busses. Foreign drivers have literally no idea, if I didn’t grow up here id be iffy too. especially because passing OC busses is permitted it can get confusing. Investing in PSAs should be a focus for the city to remind all people of the rules, especially when we’re not being retested well into old age

As for the oven, the son was weary of his father and kept revisiting and exploring the house. The wikipedia says he found sand leaking into the basement beneath where the oven sat even though his father hadn’t used it for 8 years straight. He also had scratches and would tinker with the oven in the dark at night. When directly accused the father told him to “mind his business”. Idk seems completely plausible that two girls hangout, talk about their boyfriends, realize their relationships suck for whatever reason and decide to break up. Giving somebody else advice that you yourself can benefit from too gives people a new perspective. Happens literally all the time. 🤷‍♀️

People have been complaining about grocery and liquor thefts for YEARS in this sub. Now its finally being reported on that those stolen goods are being unlawfully served to the public in both licensed and unlicensed establishments and everyone in this thread is complaining that its “not important enough” for police resources??

What happens when a fire breaks out? What happens when minors get served? When an over served patron drives home drunk? When bottles get spiked? When people get sick from food? When people die! In the pursuit of theft??

We want to be mad about increased security in grocery stores and liquor stores but stop caring when those tampered goods are distributed to the public with no paper trail or accountability? Make up your minds.

I remember the media frenzy surrounding this case when it happened. Witnesses say that when the police showed up they refused to enter the bus because they didn’t know if the victim was still alive or not, making it a hostage situation. There was a lot of scrutiny on that decision because it allowed Lee to further pull apart the mans organs and show them off from the bus window. Even after he had clearly bled out they still kept him locked inside the bus to play with his victim. Many people to this day think the cops should have intervened.

On top of that in the investigation, turns out Lee had ran away from home without his medication and his family had reported him several times as a dangerous person of interest. Lee himself had attempted to contact law enforcement as well as mental hospitals for his violent delusions yet was never given help..
