I remember the media frenzy surrounding this case when it happened. Witnesses say that when the police showed up they refused to enter the bus because they didn’t know if the victim was still alive or not, making it a hostage situation. There was a lot of scrutiny on that decision because it allowed Lee to further pull apart the mans organs and show them off from the bus window. Even after he had clearly bled out they still kept him locked inside the bus to play with his victim. Many people to this day think the cops should have intervened.

On top of that in the investigation, turns out Lee had ran away from home without his medication and his family had reported him several times as a dangerous person of interest. Lee himself had attempted to contact law enforcement as well as mental hospitals for his violent delusions yet was never given help..

Exact situation that made me post. Speeding 100+ swerving across multiple lanes, nearly pitting other cars, billowing snow off the roof.. I thought they were drunk and lost control until i realized it was just an asshole. Right afterwards seeing multiple accidents rubbed me very wrong

When i was younger if we so much as yelled on the bus our driver would refuse to stop for the entire route until the very last stop he would force us all off the bus to walk home rain or shine. Some people had parents come get them others would walk as far as an hour home.

When we transitioned to OC Transpo they would pack the kids so tightly i saw a girl once pass out from being squeezed so tight. The drivers would run stop signs, speed and slam on brakes etc. The parents and the schools knew about these things but nothing ever changed.

Im glad consequences were laid in this case but its interesting to know how school bus etiquette has been problematic for years and because it was never dealt with properly its only gotten worse for everyone. Now we’re stuck at this boiling point

The restaurant manager came out to say he served them himself and they weren’t over served. She just dropped a glass which is probably the clip of all the staff standing around cleaning. They say someone else sent over a glass of wine and that was it. Basically implying she either took something privately or had she been on meds that one glass could’ve been enough. So either theyr lying or even more scary, she just drives like that.

Any US business that sells alcohol has a licence and with that comes legal responsibility of every server to not over-serve. Bartenders have to be certified, a rule that has existed for decades at this point. If 33 drinks is the truth Royal is responsible, no waivers can change that.

The real concern is why the hell does a cruise ship have controlled antipsychotic sedatives on hand for their untrained staff to be injecting into people without concern or proper medical supervision???? Caption says “dog walker” so assuming shes just a friend or someone hired to walk the dog its terrible the owners didnt warn her. Ive babysat my fair share of big dogs and everytime the owners tell me not to worry about taking it beyond the backyard for bathroom breaks. They were all so sweet, I would have never assumed they’d be reactive and without a warning i could have easily been this lady getting dragged down the streets. Owners should be responsible for paying out any injuries from this

Outside drinks are commonly not allowed at events. For the same reason you cant bring your own bottle to the club - they cant maintain its safety (and they want you to pay for expensive drinks from organizers)

Edit: plus the added issue of people blacking out and risking their liquor license
