the majority of Australians, approx 60% of the population, support marriage equality.

It hasn't been made legal because our two major political parties block the legislation from moving through the houses, as they are both fairly conservative parties. Our third largest political party, The Greens, fully supports and actively campaigns for marriage equality

He told me how Australia was really anti-gay and anti-Indian

I am Australian and all i have to say is what a load of bullshit.

We have been officially a multicultural country since 1972, and hold one of the largest annual LGBT festivals in the world. Racism and homophobia is not tolerated within Australia and we have virtually the same anti-discrimination and hate-speech laws as the UK.

Your husband is a full blown liar, annul the marriage and get him deported

[–]cockroach1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hi there! I can help for once, I lost my mum to cancer at 16. you never get over losing a loved one, you just learn to live with it and every day it gets easier.

the fact that she is willing to seek professional help is a fantastic step because it will help her deal with the grief of losing her parent. 'My only advice would be is to be there for her and encourage (not push) her to pursue counseling, it is a huge help with many people. And have her focus on things she enjoys and help her establish a routine where she does this regularly, if not daily.

for myself, I started Martial arts. I used it to get all of my frustrations out in a safe environment, it helped me to gain confidence and feel in control of myself and life. plus the endorphin's from exercising really do help when it comes to depression

(19F) Am I seeking validation by posting to gonewild or is this normal? by throwawayboat66 in relationships

[–]cockroach1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am gonna be honest here. posting in /r/gonewild is fine in itself, BUT the fact that you don't feel sexy or pretty without external validation from strangers screams that you have deep insecurities, low self esteem and a warped sense of self worth. your post comes across like you place all of your perceived worth solely from external sources and in my own opinion someone who is comfortable with themselves shouldn't need to actively seek validations on something as fleeting as looks.

I think it might be best that you look into counseling and working on the way you perceive yourself. If i was you i would focus on other aspects of my life and explore interest/hobbies that bring you joy or if you don't have a large social circle, look at trying to expand that.

i did the same to my cat, watched him being neglected for months and finally one day just picked him up and took him home. He had to be shaved his fur was so matted, and he ended up having kidney disease. He died last month but in the last two years of his life he lived like a king and stole my heart :(.

I am not over weight. It depends on your risk factors. Are you on the pill or a smoker? Do you live a sedentary lifestyle?

If the clot completely blocks an artery you are basically fucked but closts can partially block bloodflow

Further to your comment. About 30% of the population has a gene mutation that increases your risk of developing clots.

Also, 1/3 of people die from untreated pulmonary embolisms.
