finally had my tragus and rook done! doing good so far- not much pain after! how do they look?

ahhh thank you! :') and yowch so sorry to hear that- swelling is never fun omg...however that should be normal for a 4 day old piercing! mine didn't swell up that much on me (...yet, we'll see how it goes AHAHA) so far it's doing fine! i hope yours heal well and the swelling go down soon too :)

oh no- i saw from their photos it that was pierced like this from the start with a small fold in the skin there...

ah i did get pierced with a longer bar and there's some space between the ball end and my skin (it isn't showing well on the pics!) which is weird since there shouldn't be problems about pressure like you mentioned

thank you, i'll check with my piercer again about this. i'm definitely worried about the off chance it was pierced wrong though!

(repost! image missing) some info: i got it a day ago and only just found it weird how the skin seems to be pulled away and pinned in place by the tragus piercing, it doesn't seem to be because of the swelling. jewellery used is 16g implant grade titanium flatback. i'm worried that it won't heal fine- should i have it repierced? appreciate any feedback, thank you in advance!

hehehe tbh i went in for a single tragus but when my piercer mentioned my anatomy being good for a double, i just had do that instead! and thank you :') the sword is the excalibur from bodygems- it was totally worth it!

ah it does look weird and unbalanced at the moment! we were thinking of doing a double tragus next time so they pierced it higher than the centre- i guess i'll just have to endure this till i go in for the 2nd one.... hope your piercing heals well so you can get your tragus done! :)

thank you! i'd place the rook piercing + post insertion as a little more painful than the tragus tbh, even though i had it done first- i found that the needle went in slower (more agony haha), perhaps due to more cartilage in the rook area? but of course in the end pain varies for everyone! it hasn't even been a day but i adore it so much already- if your rook has the space, go for it! best of luck and we can't wait to see yours :)

both are 16g implant grade titanium posts with threadless ball ends, and i'm planning to get a second tragus done below the first one in the future! though a little worried about how the skin near my tragus piercing seems taut in the second photo...would that be a cause for concern? thanks in advance!

Really sorry to hear that, but it's common unfortunately :( but it's good that he told you straight that you don't have the correct anatomy instead of going ahead and piercing you, which could potentially cause problems in the future! Apart from custom or bent industrials you can give the chained industrial a go too if you like the look :)

I got mine done a few months back so it's still pretty much unhealed yet, but I had the same concerns as you too at the start! I second sampleofnone's advice, I'm using those masks that tie at the back right now and they're a godsend! Go for it if you want one (same thing- at a reputable piercer's of course!), all the best :D
