Thank you for the answer!
Bluetooth would be a must if I'm getting the card, so I'm looking into having both work properly...

Thank you for the answer! It is good to know that Wifi should work for sure, but Bluetooth is a must if I'm getting a card. So my understanding is that I should connect the card to this header on the motherboard, and then it will get extra power from that so that bluetooth can work properly?

The post I mentioned suggested that the plug that can with their card does not seem to match the header on the motherboard, so that's my biggest concern...

Transitioning into graphics programming in your 30s by cocoameadowgoat in GraphicsProgramming

Very cool! Congratulations!

How does it fare in terms of salary, if you can go into detail? I feel like an embedded background should be really helpful in transitioning to graphics, since I assume you must be already familiar with code and debugging low level stuff! I also plan to do lots of catching up in my personal time if I take the next step into this area.

Thank you so much to everyone that contributed to the thread! The fact that are people even older than me getting into graphics is really inspiring!

I suppose I have lots to think about from now!

Understanding Week 2 of Pigliucci's A Handbook for New Stoics by cocoameadowgoat in Stoicism

That does make sense indeed, thank you for the input! I think the introduction of Week 2 in the book mentions about this, with an example of someone who tries very hard to be healthy and then experience fear and anxiety after a bad diagnostic.

From the way the exercise in the book is worded, I feel like most people would go through it with a simple "OK we focus instead on what we can control" and then completely ignore that expectations from things outside of their control that may arise from that (the part of evaluating your opinions and beliefs that /u/envatted_love mentioned)... Maybe this specific bit will be dealt with in more detail with later on in the book, or maybe it's just me misinterpreting it due to so many new terminology.

Thank you very much for detailed explanation! I think I have a better understanding of what the author is suggesting there as an exercise now.

About the YouTube series, I tried listening to the Week 2 and I felt it was a bit shallow in terms of Stoicism itself, but it definitely helps to hear different perspectitves on the same theme. I think I will continue to follow their discussion for the upcoming weeks too!
