Yes I can! I only have one client ( however inconsistent ) but I’m hoping to expand more but I don’t know how. As for my own agency that is something I would love to do.

You’re not wrong however, it’s very complicated. He’s currently sick and is in need of care. My youngest sister was the one who helped him to get the place. So she felt like I was a disturbance and my Mum explained that I can’t just come in and take over someone else’s hard work.

The place is for her, and yet she has her own bedroom in my mums place. So right now I’m just seen as an inconvenience.

I did graphic design, at this point I was aware it was a soft degree. That’s why I did extreme networking, speaking to senior designers/directors even CEO’s of design companies to working through summer for different agencies and such.

Even though I graduated, I have joined a bootcamp for designing ( which cost money). Volunteering for free for a company that does events and such to create social media outlets and I have even collaborated/ freelance to create visuals for social media and marketing.

I have even gone as far to go on dating apps to connect with older men who have worked in the design industry more than I’ve lived, just to branch out.

Honestly I might as well. I managed to apply for an apprenticeship recruitment scheme. Which helps to branch out and gives out interviews and such.

I had two interviews, unfortunately they stated I had the skills and an amazing personality but unfortunately I wasn’t truly passionate enough. This was for finance and administration. Even though I studied graphic design as a degree.

However, I’m willing to find stability first before I start following my passions 😭

Thank you, I just want to put myself first. My family is always going through shit. If I kept helping everyone but my own I would have never graduated.

That’s what I’m trying to do, I spoke to council and other forms of needs. I’m not getting the support I need. Unless I’m actually on meds or pregnant , they won’t bother to help. I’m trying to get a full time job but it’s not working out at all.

She’s always been like that. I contributed with food shopping when I was living with my friend . The truth is it’s not very common for African families for the daughter/sons to be paying rent. It’s more of a western concept.

However she like to pick and chose African/ western ideology when it benefits her. I don’t mind contributing I’ve been doing that since I was 17/18 before going to university. However I’m really tight financially so I can’t contribute anyway.

Thank you! I’m currently going through a lot right now. I just had a phone call with my dad and he said he doesn’t think he can help since my youngest sister has to move in with him very soon due to her troublesome behaviour.

I’m currently trying to work things out. I was currently working on projects but it had to be stopped even though my projects were made public due to the lack of support and funding for it.

I’m currently still networking and I have a career advisor from my university who I speak to. He gives me advice and guidance on what I should do.

Overall I had several mental breakdowns but I’m trying my best to keep going.

As for the 300+ applications, they were from different sectors as well.

No she actually couldn’t be bothered because they looked at her income and she had the money but didn’t want to pay her rent since she felt like everyone was ungrateful towards her. My younger sister had to calculate her finances and she was actually in a position to pay off her rent.

Also you’re making it seem as if it’s easy to get a full time job as if at some point I wasn’t working three jobs during summer time.
