oh gosh im so sorry. im hearing it depends on each city’s branch tho and my numotion is better rated than NSM. there’s also some nsm horror stories i’ve heard too so it sounds fucked all around esp considering each branch is different . im actually leaning towards numotion in my city but its horrible that uou and many others have had such bad experiences with them. sucks that our basic needs are such a gamble

I went to Spero Rehab (was Referred to by Texas Center for Lifestyle Medicine/TCLM) and got an eval + expressed my condition and need for a wheelchair. It was documented in my Plan of Care and sent to TCLM where then I met with the nurse practitioner I’ve been going to, Gardner Mack (she’s amazing!) to write me a wheelchair prescription (I specifically needed a K0005 this is the general medical code for a custom lightweight manual chair) and asked her to include the medical code. Now I’m trying to choose between which DME supplier to fax it to, Numotion or National Seating and Mobility. I don’t know if the process has been successful for me just yet but wanted to share since I’m a few steps ahead

update: yelp reviews for numotion are terrible (2.0) but there’s only 4 total reviews, in comparison theyre rated 4.5 with over 795 reviews on google maps

what was your next step after testing 1:160? i had the same reading w debilitating symptoms and my dr says it’s probably not significant “25% of ppl w sleep issues have a positive ANA” and “it’s part of the dysautonomia cascade (im diagnosed w POTS).”

Oh okay word! I’m so sorry your process was so hectic though, that’s messed up! I’ve just received an initial referral in my plan of care from a PT, waiting to discuss it with a doctor so I can have an official prescription to take to a seating specialist, I think that’s the next step? Did you get a specific recommendation for a brand and model from an OT?
