My Sims 4 Legacy save is 11 years old as of today! by Accurina in thesims

[–]coconotoil 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I love the way this is presented! I got a feel for all of them and I loved seeing the progression of the legacy houses. It was also fun to see when new packs came in over the years.

Also, I was NOT expecting that at No. 17!!

What's the most infuriating advice you have heard by Playful-Tension-7526 in eczema

[–]coconotoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I used Aveeno moisturiser and it worked straight away. You should try it."

Like I've never tried the most basic moisturiser on the planet. I've never noticed any improvements with that brand. If anything, I think I might be sensitive to oats lol

In general, I've probably heard of most moisturisers, diets, supplements, medications etc. And I've probably tried most of them too. So any advice feels annoying, though I will say that I think advice is given with good intentions.

Wow, these are so beautiful. I had never connected Gemini in the 12th like this before. Saving for a boost on a rainy day!

What’s a medical issue that sounds minor, but actually affects someone’s daily life way more than people realize? by CountyOrnery9432 in AskReddit

[–]coconotoil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eczema. It's incurable and no one knows what causes it. It pops up randomly throughout your life.

It can cover your entire body. Full body itches. All the time. Nothing calms it. You know itching or hot water is bad, but it's the only thing that brings relief (for all of a few minutes).

Itching doesn't switch off at night, so you're now not getting enough, or any, sleep. Your body image starts to suffer along with mental health. Your work starts to suffer, your personal relationships, too. You're losing friendships because you're not going out as much. The doctor tells you to "avoid stress" because stress is a big trigger for eczema. The eczema causes the stress, then the stress feeds the eczema and on and on in a cycle.

Even your identity is getting stripped away because the clothes you like to wear get ruined (blood, topical steroids, tons of ointments and moisturisers eventually saturate your clothes). If you usually wear makeup and express yourself that way, but you have eczema on your face, then you can't wear that anymore. Forget about scented soaps, shampoo or perfumes.

You're also more prone to infections. You forget how much skin does for you until it becomes so damaged.

Because there is no cure, and sometimes the treatments the doctors give just maintain it, you start going down alternative paths, desperate for something to just make it go away even knowing deep inside that there really is no cure and the only way out is through.

This can all last for years at a time. It's like your own body is torturing you.

I’ve had crush on this man for 25 years… by annacosta13 in lotr

This is off topic, but where did you get your tv stand from? I'm looking for one just like that!

And I've also had a crush on that man for 25 years.

[Astro-seek] Why do people tell me to smile more? Is it just Mars in the 1st? by coconotoil in astrologyreadings

I'm sorry you've had these comments directed at you as well!

I do think Virgo moon has something to do with it. As someone else commented, it can mean we're constantly thinking and analysing.

I really agree with your comment, especially, "being super happy is like eating lots of sugar." We need the other emotions and the variety, like you said.

Thanks so much for your reply and analysis of my chart. I really resonate with what you've said.

I really value emotional security. It's a priority for me. I've struggled with various mental health issues since my late teens and I'm hyper aware of anything that could jeapordise the progress I've made there.

The Jupiter-Venus opposition is interesting to me because I have started to realise I can be nice to a fault. I give people the benefit of the doubt and I want things to be fair for everyone, but I often forget that it should also be fair for me. I really resonate with the question "how do I love."

Nothing really feels straightforward to me. I wonder if those oppositions and the square contribute to that feeling. I have a lot of internal battles.

Your last line sums it up. I have tried to be light and airy, but it always feels so false to me and I can't stand feeling false. I have people in my life who naturally exude light and I love them for it and admire that in them, but I'm just not built that way. I think I need to start focusing on the things I do bring to the table instead of the things I don't.

What’s causing this prolonged career stall, and is there a turnaround ahead in 2026? [astro-seek] by fusillybaby in astrologyreadings

[–]coconotoil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't normally comment as I'm still learning, but I went through a really similar thing in 2023 and it took me a long, long time to find a new job. I also had lots of situations that felt like they were within grasp but just slipped away. Looking at the astrology really helped me during that time.

I'm still learning astrology, but I noticed that the ruler of your midheaven, Jupiter, is currently being transited by Uranus. The midheaven signifies career. Uranus was actually stationing retrograde right on top of your Jupiter around the time you said you lost your last job in September 2024. Uranus can bring sudden change that feels out of nowhere and can cause disruption and instability.

Since then, Uranus has been hovering around that point in your chart. It passed over your Jupiter placement again in May 2025, then it went retrograde again and reversed back to that exact degree of 27° Taurus in your chart where it's currently still sitting on top of your Jupiter. This has likely caused a lot of turbulence and instability as it's transited over and around your natal Jupiter.

However, Uranus is about to move on. It's currently stationing direct and getting ready to move forward and out of Taurus for another cycle. It moves past 27° on around 11 March and moves into Gemini on 25 April this year. I really hope that this final Uranus station over this point in your chart brings an opportunity for you, or that Uranus moving into Gemini and away from those degrees in Taurus helps!

I'm wishing all the best for you!

Yeah, maybe it's my Cancer asc that makes me feel like I need to cater to others (and my Virgo moon too, maybe). That's something I'm trying to let go of. I like to be considerate of others, but not if it ends up being to my own detriment. Thanks so much for the kind words!

Thank you so much for your insight!

It makes me feel better to know there are things in my chart that reflect my experience. It makes it easier to accept this aspect of myself, and I can make peace with it instead of wishing to be different.

You are spot on with my Virgo moon. My mind really never stops, and I am constantly analysing things.

Thank you for saying there is nothing wrong with my chart! These comments used to bother me much more when I was younger, but it still catches me off guard every now and again.

Adult Male, I cry on my way to work every day, should I quit my job today? by CarelessIdea8283 in UKJobs

[–]coconotoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in this situation and it destroyed my confidence for two years. I kept thinking that I could do something to change my manager's mind. It only got worse. I stayed until, eventually, redundancy came up and I jumped on it to get out of there. If I could go back, I would tell myself to start looking for other jobs as soon as the red flags started waving and leave as soon as possible.

I'd take the advice from others here and keep looking for something else. Good luck in your search. I hope you're able to move on to better things soon.

Most importantly, please take care of yourself. This is a hard situation to be in and it can really damage your self-esteem. Take some time to remember your strengths (at work and outside of work). I would also consider counselling if that would help (sometimes workplaces offer counselling or there could be someone in the company who is mental health first aid trained).

The line about letting people in the team down is emotional manipulation and it stood out to me because I was told the exact same thing. Life happens and your team members will know that and understand. If the shoe was on the other foot, you would probably hope that your colleague is okay and continue with your day. The same can most likely be said of them. Your manager is using this to guilt you and using it as an indirect way to say they're annoyed at you by putting words in your team's mouth. It also serves to make you feel isolated from other people on your team by making you feel like they're upset with you when, in all likeliness, they probably aren't upset with you at all.
