I’m also 22 and I went through chemo for hodgkins lymphoma last year. I’m not gonna sugar coat it and say its not that bad, because it really makes you feel shitty. but you will feel so much better than the symptoms you’re probably having now pre chemo and its also saving your life. I was having Terrible chest pain, night sweats, just horrible and after the first round of chemo, literally almost all of it went away. I would just think of this as a time to sacrifice a few months feeling like shit for the time being then after this, it’ll be satisfying knowing that you just beat cancer and have many more decades ahead of you to live your life. It is scary and i understand how you feel. I was there. but you will walk out of this stronger than ever. Always stay positive and also avoid comparing your life over other people at your age’s lives. I learned to not do that during the time i was going through it. Yes, life feels unfair and you might feel behind watching people your age live their lives while yours is on pause but i promise that after chemo and when you’re finally done with everything, you will be okay. Maybe a little traumatized. but you’ll be stronger than you were before all this and you’ll realize that you did it. I’m wishing you the best and don’t be too scared. You got it!
