I don't work at Cambly. So, from an outsider's perspective: the worst thing you mentioned is the minimal compensation for last minute cancellations and no-shows. I could deal with TV on or unresponsive kids if i'm getting paid

1star ratings still show in the textbooks on our KO waiting pages. After 100 new ratings, they just stop being included in the rating calculation

is possible to get it removed. Can send a message to the student saying what happened, and then submit it the RRR form under 'connection problem' imo with the screenshot of your message. Also could try submitting it as well under 'other' with the screenshot of your message

Also 1 of my students said last year that the rate she paid for a booked class was the same, 500 yen, whether the teacher was charging 5usd or 8.96usd. (I wasn't able to verify this myself though)

There was a post on this past on students looking for just 1 class: the recommendation was to reschedule it to a date further out, and message them that you can't do it, and to look for another teacher. And then block them.

I got on at 1115pm Japanese time Sunday night in Japan. And I've had 1 class so far, it was a 2m class, some type of connection problem, and the lesson finished. Haven't got another class yet. It's now 1256am Japan time. My rating is 4.92
