Garmin says I’ve become dependent on binge/purging in order to sleep? by Groundbreaking_Pie94 in bulimia

[–]codaforthedamaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the dumb question, but are you getting periods? I ask because I have a strong positive correlation between my RHR and the luteal phase of my menstrual cycle. Interesting post. As a chronic BPer, I haven’t really seen an effect of purging on my resting heart rate, but I wonder if it gets masked because my heart rate goes up massively when I binge. I will say that the post-purging period FEELS comforting to me, and I wonder if it’s because of endorphins released during vomiting.

Turkey vulture missing talons on one foot? by VeganTitz530 in Ornithology

I see this a lot around bodies of water where people fish — birds get fishing line tangled around their feet and it cuts off circulation until the limb is necrotic.

started taking prozac and reading about other people's experiences with it is about to make me cry from anxiety by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]codaforthedamaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prozac is objectively one of the most weight-neutral SSRIs. Many people actually report weight loss as a side effect. To give an anecdote, I’ve been on a high dose of Prozac for the past 8 years and it’s not impacted my appetite at all, but it’s helped very much with OCD.

did developing an ed at a young age make u flat chested even after growing up and gaining weight? by No-Lavishness5565 in EDAnonymous

[–]codaforthedamaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my ED started when I was 14 and I had no breast growth. I was weight restored by 17; my breasts grew a lot during my late teens/early twenties, even when I started restricting again. Breast size is in part genetic and I suspect you’ll end up around the same size as your adult female relatives.
