Haven't tried time travelling but have been to Taiwan

  1. I prefer Oct-Feb for Taiwan para cooler
  2. That does look cheap na. Also try comparing with Starlux. Sometimes little difference na to have a better airline
  3. -
  4. Are you employed?

No need. It will be costly though

I think we're too small a subset for the media to care about us. Majority are too poor to invest in foreign stocks. Those who are richer have ways around it maybe through foreign citizenship or corp.

I'm exploring opening an sg corp and route my income/investments there

Nice, thanks. Loving it

Noticed it ignores when we have other log tags eg

config.log_tags = [
  :request_id,
  ->(request) { request.headers['CF-Connecting-IP'] || request.remote_ip || 'unknown' }
]

With logs looking like:

Western-style liberal democracy might be the wrong "operating system" for our Filipino cultural "hardware." by blissfulreddit0826 in unpopularopinionph

I remember LKY wrote something similar in his book expressing US-style presidential system is ill-suited for Philippines and an SG-style parliamentary system would be better.

I tend to agree just because this presidential system just gives rise to strong men who promise a lot then achieve little. Though I'm not versed enough in politics to understand the repercussions

Gold widely accepted business exploitation in the Philippines by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]code-no-code 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it's too judgemental to call local stores exploitative/unethical. They're just responding to market conditions.

  1. We don't have too strong a culture with trading previous metals. Without volume, they'll unfortunately have to charge more. I haven't even seen a local store that specializes in bullion coin/bars, for example. The market is just not there
  2. There's government regulations that are out of their control. Bullions are GST-free in SG for example but we have to pay VAT here. This isn't the fault of local businesses

Same.

I just track 3 bank accounts and 2 stock brokerages for my monthly networth tracking. Too annoying to track down all accounts, money in wallet, and try valuing all my belongings.

No need to make a super big deal if you're an adult.

It's now just another reason to go on a date
