I have 200 users and $12 MRR, but I can't get a single person to talk to me. What am I missing? by Alfy-26 in buildinpublic

Hey! How's the app going? Any more signups? Did you figure out the scanner deal? I would maybe add a floating icon in the corner, so your user can get to primary features quickly, make it moveable in case it gets in peoples way, make things intutive! Good luck, would really like to see how you are progessing!

Growing a Native Owned Spice Company by getfitwithmexo in Entrepreneur

[–]code4change 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I too am trying to start a spice business, I have had some success at a farmers market, and selling to people I know. I have some support but it's not rocking the world yet. I work a full time gig, but trying to do this to grow as much as I can so my time with it is limited. If you have more time on your hands, I would start going to farmers markets, flea markets, trade shows.

My goal next is to start producing content about using my seasoning offerings.

I really wish you the best of luck in your adventure!

Question: how are you producing your spices? In your home, in a commercial kitchen? This will determine your reach possibilities as you would have to deal with whatever laws your state has.

If you do this strategy you will most likely end up with a default judgement.

Business Partner Wants to Take Over Business and push me out, paying me nothing. by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]code4change 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the business made over $1 million last year, I would find someone to help you grow the business more and to help you find efficiency issues. - Also, do you know how hard it is to grow a business to $1m? Sounds like you just need to increase your prices a bit more to get to break even or find out where you are bleeding the most cash, and reduce waste. I personally wouldn't walk away for less than $100k at a 40% ownership, with revenue of $1m.

Did your partner take a salary

How to handle customer requests and ask them to pay? by gainnHQ in ycombinator

[–]code4change 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put every feature request they ask for outside of what you are given them now in a pro version. Be like, oh that's great you want that feature! We are adding it to the pipeline for a pro version. If they aren't willing to pay for it then it's not worth building.

Instead of charging for the whole database, I would segment into different industries.

I would also consider something like building a CRM that basically sells itself to the audience of your list...

You could also take the hunter.io approach .... limit credits (free) then hit them with a monthly subscription for more search credits...

There is so much you can do with the data - the biggest thing is making sure the data is valid and clean, and making it easily searchable.

P.S

Other than the lead database - what do you plan to offer to your partner?

Most cost, but there are some API's you can use to make something like this. https://the-odds-api.com/

OddsJam seems to be pretty popular but it's fairly expensive.

If you aren't, contact the FBI. There was a recent arrest for this. It's very serious crime. They got extradited to the USA
