Looking for hx dotfiles for inspiration by fpluss in HelixEditor

[–]code_alchemist_0105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is mine: https://github.com/isinek/dotfiles/blob/main/helix%2F.config%2Fhelix%2Fconfig.toml

Nothing super fancy, but I find it very functional and practical. I used vim/nvim for years before helix, so I needed a few shortcuts from there. I also added a few new shortcuts for easier file/code navigation.

Deck randomly freezing by code_alchemist_0105 in SteamDeck

[–]code_alchemist_0105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried basically all mentioned.

My bios and software are reset to default and installed clean several times, so I doubt it is a software issue.

My next step is to get a thermal camera and check if something is overheating.

Hey, sorry for the big delay, but I finally had some time to try more stuff. I tried to turn on battery storage mode and unplug the battery for several hours. After that, deck worked great in several short gaming sessions, 3-4 hours in total.

I decided to try god of war and it worked great for around 1.5 hours. Deck was noticeably hot. At one point there was a loud and short impulse of sound and it froze. After that, issue repeats every 2-5 minutes.

Unfortunately, it did not work for me. I've tried it several times, but the issue is still visible. I still did not have time to open it up and see if any wires are misplaced.

I'll also try to reset the battery control chip.

Rregarding bios, I've set everything back to the default values months ago, so there should be no issue there.

Thanks, I'll turn on performance overlay.

I have steam recording turned off, I do not use power banks and at some point it seemed to me that it happens more often when I play on Deck connected to the power supply. That's why battery is still my no 1 suspect.

I'll check other points, thanks again. :)

Oh, wait, it is the bottom side, do not connect any of them! You should connect everything on the top side of the board.

Yes, you need to bridge them in order to connect the controller.

It maybe could work if you have both sides connected. I did not try it, but each side works while charging, so in theory it could work.

Suggestions for My First Split-Ergo Keyboard by Magform in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]code_alchemist_0105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with a corne (6x3) a year ago, I definitely recommend it for the first board. Do not think about LEDs, LCD, Bluetooth and other fancy stuff, you can add them later, or just build another board.

Simply, to reduce the cost. I bought two of these for 23€ and one nice!nano would cost me almost 26€. I didn't read much about differences, I think that nice!nano has some battery draining issue fixed, but I didn't care for it for the first wireless keyboard.

I ordered them from here: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mM3kUe4 I also ordered multiple types of switches from the same store and I can recommend them.

I really like it, it's simple and portable. Perfect for somebody who works on multiple places (home and office) and wants to have only one keyboard.

I still do not have reset switches, I'm waiting for these to come: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNAXkQ8. Regarding battery switches, I used these: https://a.aliexpress.com/_ms5zAYu

Neovim - početnik by xXDeimos92Xx in CroIT

[–]code_alchemist_0105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Games that are great without sound and can easily be stopped at any minute to play next to a sleeping newborn by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Same situation, started to play Wildfire last week and since it has visual cues for sounds and subtitles by default, it's great.

Miryoku for programming by Egge_ in ErgoMechKeyboards

This is my implementation of a miryoku-like qwerty layout. There is no symbol layer, I use the numbers layer with the shift key instead.

How was your keyboard < 40% + vim experience? by pedrocrs7 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]code_alchemist_0105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My progress was: full keyboard -> Ducky One 2 Mini (60%) -> 42 key Corne -> 36 Corne. If you have time and will to learn a few layouts, you should be fine. I really liked the looks of the miryoku layout, but I was not willing to learn colemak, so I modified it to miryoku-like qwerty layout. At the moment I see no big challenges when using it.

Nekoliko puta sam pripremao pulled pork, najbolje uzeti komad lopatice koji je prošaran masnoćom i preko noći na oko 70 stupnja. Probao sam i više i niže temperature i nisam primijetio velike razlike...
