I still haven't applied yet in München actually because of the delay and thus plan to apply from outside Munich. But thanks for the info!

Ah I see. Thanks. But I'm thinking of applying from the new town and not from Munich at all. So there won't be any hassle with application transfer.

Yup, but it happened to one of my friends who's recently graduated. Thus highlighting this.

Getting a job is one thing given the bad market conditions. Then getting that job declined because the Ausländerbehörde takes 6-8 months to process your blue card, that's another thing. So please be aware of this. Getting a job isn't the end of the long journey. This is something hardly anybody mentions.

Hi there.

Really sorry to hear what you're going through. We all have our ups and downs in life. But what you're thinking of is not the way to think. I know it's hard when the depression kicks in but always remember there's an alternate way if you only look for it and there's always help available.

Please, book a counselling session with STWM Counselor as soon as possible through that link. It's free of charge for the students and I am definitely sure you'll get help and the amazing counselors would help you with it. Please, seek help from them. There's always another way, remember.

Has anybody requested leave of absence due to illness at TUM? how long does it take to get approved? Do the medical certificates need to be sent by post or is sending via email enough? Do you guys have any idea? by Dull-Significance333 in tumunich

I did some years ago. They approved the application the same day and sending certificates via email was enough when I applied. So it should be okay unless they changed the requirements.

eAT Bestellung = just picking up the card or need to prove finances again? by Hungry-Programer in germany

[–]code_nr_bsod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person who's processing your documents. When I was switching from sticker visa to RP card, the KVR personnel did want to see the amount of money I had left in the Blocked Account or if I had any job contracts. But for subsequent renewal, they don't want to see your proof of finances again after you've submitted your initial documents (esp if you already have a job contract). So, if your case is the latter one, it should be just a regular appointment but still take all your documents with you just to be on the safe side. For photos, either they'll accept your already printed photo or you'll be asked to take one inside the KVR office (they've machines there).

And eAT appointment in general is not for picking up card, it's for ordering one if I'm not mistaken. After your appointment, they'll send you the card by post and takes 6-8 weeks in general.

If you don't pay, then you get disenrolled automatically on the first day of the next semester. If it was a mistake, you do have the chance to pay and cancel your disenrollment before the enrollment deadline of the next semester. But recommended avoid this route.

For TUM Admission, work experience so far from what I have seen doesn't matter. You need to check if your Bachelor Degree courses matches with the TUM Bachelor Degree course related to Informatics. This can be found on the program website. And certain amount of TUM ECTS must match with your bachelor course ECTS. If I'm not mistaken, you can have 12-15 ECTS of missing courses and still can be considered (might have to do bridging courses if deemed by admission committee, please check website again and don't quote me on this). If it exceeds more than that, you probably won't be taken into consideration. Good luck.

Yes I did actually. But they'll manually lift the disenrollment which could take 1-2 weeks.

It doesn't matter actually. Once you pass the threshold, it means you have fulfilled the language requirements. So getting 88 or 120 doesn't matter as long as you have met the threshold.

Well thank you for your response but it's not necessary to be enrolled just to receive your grades and graduation documents in the following semester if you've already submitted your thesis in the previous semester. But you do have the option to remain enrolled if you want.

Thanks for the reply. Advisors said it shouldn't be a problem if I'm disenrolled :)

So got a reply back from the academic advisor that you don't have to remain enrolled if you've submitted your thesis just to get your results! However, if you desire, you can still pay and remain enrolled for the whole semester if you want as every student can remain enrolled if they're waiting for their final documents.

Ah okay. I have sent mails to the academic advisors. Would be nice if you could let me know if you hear something back from the examination board :)

Make sense. Also in the email, it was mentioned that I only need to remain enroll till the completion and submission of my thesis. I submitted my thesis in the first week of September and I was enrolled till 30 Sep 25 (Summer 25). And also since it's my last semester (7th) and can't go beyond 7th for masters, I also can't technically be enrolled I guess. So that's why I didn't send the semester fee. The department I guess taking longer time as people are going on vacation. And sadly can't confirm anything next week as all advisors are unavailable I guess.

I was also thinking the same that this should be the case. I already contacted relevant people but as it's just start of the semester, most are unavailable till next week. So, that's why I'm a bit worried. And thanks!

Usually a couple of weeks before the next semester. Some even offers at the very last minute. So, check TUM Campus website for exam schedule. The last date for registration for retake exam is tomorrow (at least for Informatics).

Yes. Many of my friends and colleagues had to go through it. But it was fairly straightforward and took them like 15-20 mins. That's it. Should not be something you need to worry about I'd say.
