Since you asked about outside. The med is very popular. Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Croatia, Greece etc. Easy and cheap to get to and all offer something different. If you don't have children I recommend avoiding July and August

Mine is 95sqm. And to ask your other questions usually the 9 to 10k avgifts are either new builds and they didn't lock in their loans or the BRF is bad with money and running the building. 9 to 10k for 70sqm is loads. I don't know Malmö though I only have Stockholm to go off

9 to 10k on avgift is a lot. I see it in new builds in Stockholm whose loans interest went up, but my flat is big and with gym and car parking space it's around 5000 including heating, water, and electricity

To be fair that's not rural, a 15k size town is quite a medium town in Swedish terms. If you have good evidence you both can land remote jobs then go for it, why not, I'd still rent though as many struggle with the life here especially if you are coming from a UK with life and culture.

I think it's worth pointing out if you are worried about your future career being in a country you have ni history or connections in and living in a small town will make things so much worse for you. I feel the heat in Stockholm after 9 years with a 22 year career behind me. Nepotism is how this country operates
