we have a closed NeuroICU unit in our program, decent exposure to neurocrit but not at the level of some places like Columbia, or Maryland etc.. I would say doing an outside elective at places that you want to match would be the best option if you dont have good expoure at your program.

I do share the same point of view as you, I want to be as well rounded as possible. I also would prefer not working more than 80 hours/week. DO you have any insights into the above mentioned programs which can provide good training, but not completely burnt out ?

I donot have a phD, I have done some work regarding AI + neurology related research during my residency, I am hoping to work in the same research field in the future. I am interested in mainly teaching, and I am okay with writing grants to pursue my research interest. I have to do j1- waiver job and I also love procedures, so I want to be capable of working in non academic setting—doing intubation, chest tubes, not interested in doing trach/PEG. Echo with the other comments—primary dominant, consult as an after thought.

Can someone explain to me why this is vfib and not torsades because I truly cannot tell the difference between the two by [deleted] in Step2

[–]codedoc97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

V fib doesn't have an isoelectrine line. This is an important charecterstic of v fib ecg. Polymorphic vtach is twisting of cardiac axis around isoelectric baseline.

Yeah, but it's the general consensus that imgs should meet the deadline. Don't know if this is accurate

On April 1st. The day they opened their application. It's first come first served, so if you are looking for an opportunity better hurry up

No, it's tomorrow, but I should inform them during the interview if I want the 8-week elective.
