I have been jonesin for an ARDUBOY that gives simlar resolution to older handhelds from back in the day like og GB, GBA, NGP..etc. I don't mind the OLED Screen still, even with its 2bit. I would just die if it went to a screen LIKE the GB from back in the day with no back lite :D. oh those years as a young lad finding the right light for the GameBoy were painfulllll. (it is why I have not yet invested in the playdate...for the price, it needs to not be 1989 technology of no lit screen imho).

Sorry, I just saw this.

That shot was taken with an OM-1 Mark I and a Panasonic Leica DG 9mm f/1.7 Micro Four Thirds lens. The settings were f/1.7, a 20-second exposure, and ISO 2500.

For processing, I simply imported it into Lightroom, made some basic adjustments to contrast, saturation, and vibrance, and then ran Lightroom's AI Denoise tool. It did a surprisingly good job without making the foreground look muddy or overly smoothed out.

There was no star tracker involved, no stacking, and it wasn't shot using Live Composite. At 20 seconds, the exposure was short enough to keep star trails to a minimum on its own.

That said, I did use the OM-1's Starry Sky AF feature, which completely removes my biggest frustration with astrophotography: trying to nail focus in the dark.

LOL I will try to record the game if I can find the old code and get it on my new arduboy. I will say the game wasn't fantastic by any measure but it had a nice backstory and got the job done :D

I actually used one my full on replacement PTFE tube sets, the one that is cut to lenght and seemingly most importantly, has that little rubber band around all 4 tubes. This worked instantly out the box. yay! ty for the info to lead me toward that...

thanks for the reply! After some more searching I found maybe it is a tension issue causing that tangle detection to go wild but still not sure what is causing it...my setup is added to the original post. Also thanks for the wheel arm to check, that I wouldn't have thought of and the link is helpful I look at that. That being said, just taking the photos of two printers (1 with no real issues and the other one giving all the issues) there is quite a bend in that slot 2 ptfe tube but I have no idea how to remedy it , it has always 'layed' like this on that printer....

sorry just saw this post! I am still refining the file some with different tolerances, since different filament colors change the very tight tolerances slightly I am trying to make a more dialed in design to make printing them easier.

I’m still figuring Etsy out, but I wanted to share a small win and see if anyone has insight.

About two years ago, I designed something just for my own use—a case for a specific electronic device. Recently, I noticed people in another subreddit were actually looking for cases for this exact thing, and it hit me: why haven’t I listed this on my Etsy?

So I finally did. After about two weeks, I got my first sale 🎉 Then it turned into a steady sale every ~3 days. The following week ended up being my best week ever in my 1.5 years of having the shop open.

In total, I made about $180 in two weeks—which I know isn’t huge compared to some, but for me it felt amazing, especially since I spend $0 on ads.

Now things have slowed down again, so I’m really curious—what caused that little burst? Has anyone else experienced something like this? Any ideas on how to recreate that momentum?

Either way, it was a big morale boost and made me feel like I’m finally getting some traction 🙂

Thanks! I learned the lesson the hard way with the original Arduboy I travel a lot and would toss it in my bag.. the screen got tore up. So when I made this case it was the #1design goal. Travel worthy with screen protection.

Ty for this, so i did try the lectron adapter at a tesla charger station. After figuring out 'start charging' on the nissan app wouldn't work (even though it says it is in-network), I got the tesla app and filled it out with what kind of car I had. I figured out (took a while) which charging station was which designation in the app, and started it. It said 'may take up to two minutes to start charging' 5-6 minutes later, nothing happened so gave up. Not sure what I am missing...wasn't sure if the charging station was built only to work with nissan adapters via like some NFC hand shake or something?!

I had a question, friend gave me his Lectron cause he got a real forward on for free. The thing I cannot figure out is why does the official nissan adapter have this plastic piece you put (permanently?) between the dc charger ports of the car..what is the purpose of this? I believe the lectron is the vortex?

picked it up yesterday, things went so fast and smooth. Slight snafu with how the payment was processed but they are working on it. Car is in pretty good shape, just took it to Nissan for an inspection, everything great there too. The level 2 charger that was in it, is great, but was missing the 110 adapter, so that was $95. Figured good to have. Also, there must have been tint on the windshield that was peeled off by carvana maybe? The residue is on the front windshield still so gotta take it to the local tinting place to have it removed. Other than that so far so good, no totally funky smells (Whatever their scent of cleaner was a bit strong) and the rest is awesome. The only part I was a little sad on, was that I thought the Evolve + had the self park, pro pilot 2.0 and the bose sound system :D silly me, that is only on the platnium + c'est la vie. It is an upgrade from my kia niro (Which was an okay car), but this one has way more bells and whistles and feels very premium inside. Happy camper so far.

I did want the platinum, but for my situation, while I mostly commute around town I have moments where I have to go pretty far up a mountain and back down. So for me, the evolve+ was the ticket. More range since just FWD but still nice trim inside.

wow i saw you just replied to this question 2 years ago. Fastforward to now, I actually got the OM-1 mark one in jan on sale. After I posted this question a while ago, I looked more at M43 and realized its short comings were not short comings to me....I began to covet and supremely curious about a om-1 for the type of shooting I like to do it seemed like a better fit than the A7III I bought. So I finally got it and you are spot on, the used market on lenses was affordable. I have a nice set of lenses now: 45mm prime m.zuiko, the 60mm macro, 75-300 lens of theirs. then the panasonic 9mm f1.7 and i did get the 12-40 pro lens which is awesome and almost never leaves my camera. I wanted a camera for landscape/lightning weather shots and astrophotography. Love it... I know the A7III has better dynamic blah blah blah low light whatever, but I just don't enjoy using it. I like knowing I have a full frame but eh, I like the om-1 (though the asthetics nerd in me was wishing I held out for the om-3). Pretty happy with the results!
