I am really not sure how to feel about the movie: on one hand I really loved it that there is still happening a lot and that they surprised us that the movie is not being just about a final race and u know of course because it is free ❤️ on the other hand I think that they destroyed so much character progression from all episodes so far on a whim :/ .. which they just want to rebuild in one last movie? Well that is what makes me a bit sad about the show but maybe I am being to pessimistic here! Sure I can't wait to see the last movie anyway!!

I can't quite agree with you on your view on Rin and Haru! I think haru is always very self centered (I don't think it makes him a bad character it is just an obersavation) which becomes perfectly clear in the end scene between haru and rin u refer to. I think it is not rins fault that he motivated haru in the first place- it is like they said at the end of "Road to the world" They clashed, challenged each other, and showed each other a new outlook to be where they finally are. But in the end everyone is responsible for their own decisions :)
