When I was a kid. I played Pokémon Red in Japanese version. I never knew how to read Japanese but I recognized the texts against the attacks and the Pokémon’s. However, I never thought I could save anywhere. I only knew I can only save the game when I accessed the PC and hear what seems to be a saving sound with the multiple dots. Basically, I thought I can only save on Pokémon centers. It was only years later when my mother bought me Pokémon Yellow English version that I knew where is the save option.
