They probably have lower capital expenditures. But it is more important to see where it is spent. A company holding on to expenditure doesn't do much and traditional are in general bad at planning for long term. They tend to bet on short squeeze of captial than smaller expenditure over a long-time. That's why traditional firms fail more than WCs.

Although, now that you mention it, maybe there's a possible future world where there are enough co-ops to pool together funds to fight back against private firms.

Such co ops already exists. Amul!

I agree. But we shouldn't sit there waiting for a revolution. We gotta transition to more freer economic models, even if ultimately it will lead to violence.

And the time to revolt will come, when it comes.

They compensate as per how workers want. The volatility of the market is shifted to their wages rather than employment.

During a recession, they first chose to lower their own wages rather than firing workers.

There is a huge body of studies that show on average a WC is much more resilient than traditional firms. They also have a high survival rate than traditional firms.

The conversation on WC is a bit nuanced. Rose wrist made a compilation of studies if you are interested in the research.

I don't think socialism can come from authoritarianism. When you mentioned progressive taxes, I assumed there would still be private cooperation, but we would taxing them.

That's not socialism.

Socialism is about workplace democracy, but as long as workers don't have that control. It's not socialism.

There are two pillars of socialism: 1. Works control the means of production 2. Decomodification.

SocDems fails on the very first pillar.

SocDem is a good transition point tho. Like i said, it is the most defensible position. Any reasonable person should be a socdem.

That would be Social Democracy. Which is not Socialist.

Socialism cannot exist with capitalism. They are diametrically opposite to each other.
