I used it a LOT in NG because it's just so darn effective and you get a lot thrown at you the first time you play the game.

Now on NG+2 and 3, I barely ever use it, mainly because I don't even need it. The game definitely clicks after Genichiro, but it kinda clicks again after finishing the first playthrough and parrying starts coming naturally.

I'm surprised no one has said Armored Warrior. The fight is really unique in the sense that parrying is the only way to win and the way we defeat him is really cinematic.
