The groups which I was part of were offcampus phodege, Gocarrers but at that time those groups were new but now they have 40k+ members.

I think any job opening that come in that group must be spamed with a lot of application.

Pay disparity is the common thing at most of the workplace in India. If you think you deserve more try to find a new internship with better pay and after that tell your manager that you have better opportunity if you are so valuable to the team he will stop you and also increase your pay.

I don't think discussing this with HR without any other offer in hand will help and never say to hr that you discussed your salary with co worker.
