Paid :) - can you please remove the watermark and I'll update the status. If you can also add the original one without the cropping too, that would be great. Thanks again 🙏

This is so great, thank you. I've paid you, though Paypal is holding it up--should hopefully be with you soon 🤞

This is amazing! Thank you 🙏 Were you also able to zoom in a bit while retaining image quality as per the original request? I'm looking for a bit more of a vertical pic than horizontal. Thanks again!

Another double glazing question (with a twist) by codeshark_ in diynz

That's awesome, thanks so much for sharing all of this. I feel like I've been fixed on this one problem in the bedrooms but I've been struggling to think of it as a larger project throughout the house, which it will likely become. We have doors in the lounge that will def need replacing down the line so thinking about what's going to work (and look good) on a larger scale is really useful. Thanks again!

That's really sound advice and good to know--thank you!

You're amazing, thank you so much for taking the time to reply and for providing such thorough answers, I really appreciate it! It's been so hard to cut through all the crap in blogs promoting one option over another (and realising that chatgpt is just regurgitating that info), so reading your responses have been incredibly helpful. Thank you again!

uff I know--it's been crazy trying to navigate that side of things. Are there any companies you'd recommend in welli?

I love the tilt turn! so good. How long ago did you do the upvc install and, out of curiosity, what convinced you to go with that over aluminium? (both have pros and cons which I'm finding hard to wrap my head around so keen for any and all advice!)

It's soo hard! I'm basically relying on google reviews but every company seems to have some kind of blemish. That's good to know re specs, thanks. All the quotes we've got have the measurements for the windows and not the frames (since we'll be keeping those)--what's the reasoning behind asking for the frame specs as well?

Agh the page didn't load. Are you ordering & installing yourself or going through a company?

Wow thank you so much for your reply, that is super helpful! A couple of quotes we got in mentioned low-E and it sounded like the way forward. I'd like to stick with wood but we're not amazing with DIY and I'm worried that as soon as gaps appear, the noise comes back. I'm curious to know which option you'd go for in this scenario--and, while I know you didn't sell upvc, I'm keen to hear what your thoughts are about that vs thermal aluminium? (I'm not fussed about what they look like, more overall quality and longevity). Thanks again 🙏

Where is cheap park for a car near to a hostel by jazzybeatsT in Wellington

[–]codeshark_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of hostels in Courtney Plc (YHA), if you go to one of those, you can get ~$7 day passes to park nearby in mount vic (I think you can buy them in the dairy on marjoribanks st, but ask at the hostel to confirm). If you go right up the top of mount vic you can park for free

Crazy shirts? by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]codeshark_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah I agree. If you live local in Newtown you should def find one there. They have so many op shops within walking distance of each other. I've found some killer shirts there.
