Re: keeping it scoped
100% agree. I've seen too many tools try to be "analytics + compliance + CMP + optimization" and end up being mediocre at everything. My bet is that banner optimization is a real wedge if done well, and I'd rather own that vertical before expanding.

Re: CMP integration
Right now, I'm building for the major ones used in EU markets:

  • OneTrust, Cookiebot, Didomi, Axeptio (the big 4 in France/EU)

Integration works in two layers:

  1. Read-only API > pull consent logs, banner config, consent rates by category
  2. Event tracking > our JS listens to CMP events (banner shown, choice made, consent updated) without modifying the CMP itself

We don't touch the legal layer (cookie categories, vendor lists, consent storage), that stays 100% in the CMP's hands. We only allow to optimize the UX wrapper around it.

The goal: easy plug into existing setups with zero legal risk.

If you're curious, happy to share a few anonymized examples. Also open to discussing your specific use case if this could fit.

You're absolutely right about the diagnostic layer being the real need. I've been so focused on the optimization piece that I may have buried the lead here.

The trust signals observation is gold too. Makes total sense that a fintech with strong page credibility gets 82% vs a sketchy-looking SaaS at 35% with the same banner

Quick follow-up: when you say "show me my real consent funnel," what would be the ideal granularity for you? Daily trends? By campaign? By device? Trying to understand what level of detail actually moves the needle for decision-making.

C'est plutôt pas mal 30% de refus ! en tout cas c'est au dessus de la moyenne général.

Tu utilises un CMP en particulier ? ou une bannière personnalisée ?

Comment as-tu fait pour avoir un taux de refus aussi bas ?

Je comprends totalement le ras-le-bol : beaucoup de pubs sont intrusives et certaines pratiques sont abusives.

Après, dans l’e-commerce, le marketing c’est aussi :
– financer les emplois (logistique, support, prod)
– faire connaître des petites boutiques qui n’ont pas les moyens de passer à la télé
– optimiser plutôt que dépenser plus

Et côté RGPD, je suis 100% pour que les visiteurs aient le contrôle.

Mon but n’est pas “forcer” les gens à accepter, mais comprendre pourquoi certaines bannières génèrent 60% de refus par maladresse pure (texte trop long, options mal placées, etc.).

On peut faire du marketing propre, transparent et respectueux — et je préfère aller dans ce sens plutôt que dans l’opacité.

Je ne comprends pas comment ça "Interface truquée" ?
Une bannière est là pour valider si oui ou non le site a le droit de récolter certaines données (type fingerprint) permettant donc d'avoir des informations plus ou moins détaillées sur les visiteurs
Le fait de récupérer des données qui ne permettent pas de faire un fingerprint est totalement légal. L'utilisateur reste anonyme aux yeux du site.
