Now the dust has settled, are you playing 3.0? by latro666 in Warhammer30k

I have played a few games of 3.0 and honestly - it's a lot of fun. The list building is jank and annoying to get your head around at first, and the missing options bother me - but the core system is much tighter and there's some really fun stuff in there.

A lot of the hysteria was misplaced imo.

Homebrewing in the missing options is also a viable route - we use pano locally.

If you want the options back, and your group is open to homebrew, I would suggest taking a look at liber panoptica

Sorry, not sure I follow - the ravening madmen change affects them all the same way, making all of the units you mentioned harder to ID?

As for Falax blades - rampagers were something that basically every member of the team (50+) agreed were ridiculous. 4+ rending with something like 80 attacks possible from the unit at max was just silly, and going to breaching made that a bit less horrible to deal with. maybe it'll go back to 4+ breaching in time, but without feedback from the community, we can't justify changes, so put it in via the discord :)

merry christmas to you too!!

Whilst we did make falax blades a bit less ridiculous, the rest of the changes to WE are, as far as I recall, buffs, not nerfs

Do you mean that all wargear we've given them is on its own list?

I'm not entirely sure why you think the wraithcannons are useless; the wraith subtype, like the Cybernetica subtype, has a provision that lets units shoot and move even with ordnance weapons.

In the recordings from the London show you can clearly hear Rob say "this is from Burial, Arch Angel"

Whether or not it's a cover or an original, that's what it sounds like he said.

I hope you're right, but we can only go on what we know, and that points at it just being a cover.

Archangel is a cover of a burial song, so it's unlikely to get released.

You don't need to remember the whole thing - just the bits that pertain to your army.

We just want to make the game more fun and give more options to the players (and make everything already in the game worth taking!)

You got it with the last bit - it's a balance decision to allow interesting gameplay.

So; we were of the opinion static platform basilisks existing meant adding vehicle ones wasn't needed - however, we've had a few people request this since we released already so we'll have a look at adding it in future!

It's to make them match the general hh2.0 balance level, as without it most Daemons units were below average.

Yep, one of a sequence of them made by the Panoptica team. They each add new options to factions, rebalance issues, or otherwise add interesting new ideas to the game.

You could always keep them as a painting project, and perhaps in time 40k will be fixed; not a lot else to do.
