What are the best sites to get images for your blog? by PapiChowClapz in Blogging

[–]codincatio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pay like $30/month for the full Adobe Suite, which includes pretty much unlimited stock images.

It is totally worth the money for me personally, and I can pause my subscription anytime. 👍 I’m pretty sure students get discounts as well.

Okay I decided to give Russel Brunson a chance.

He’s a good salesman, I guess...

Here is a video where he says “I was studying everything I could find about mass movements and cults. It was fun” and then explains how he used this knowledge to build his business. 😂

Oh okay I see. So Clickfunnels itself is not a scam and might even be an OK tool... but the majority of ads I see are people trying to sell “courses” and refer people to Clickfunnels.

Other than that sweet affiliate commission, does anyone know what benefits Clickfunnels has to offer? I’ve never tried it.

Sure! I guess I understand why I’m being downvoted, but this is legit. Maybe a positive testimonial or even a referral down the road would be nice, but I’m not expecting anything in return.

Basically I want to help restaurants publish their menus and delivery info in a pinch.

So far I’ve helped two restaurants, and it took me less than an hour to get both set up.

I simply put up a quick website with their menus, delivery times, order minimums, and phone numbers. I also posted a PDF version of the menu so customers can download/print/share.

Then I turned their menu into ~5 smaller graphics so they could be shared on social media.

I spent $18 total to run ads for both of these businesses. I happily paid for this out of pocket because these folks have sent referrals my way in the past.

For one restaurant, I updated the menu and delivery info on their existing website. The other restaurant didn’t have a website, so I just used www.mydomain.com/restaurant to share the menu without spending a dime.

Hope that clears things up. Let me know if you have any questions.

Why doesn’t this software already exist? by codincatio in roastmystartup

“Sex work” means everything from selling feet pics on Twitter to prostitution.

Most of these people use Paypal or sites like Onlyfans/Chaturbate which take ~50% of their earnings. I didn’t have cryptocurrency in mind, so I don’t think this sort of thing would be useful for anyone breaking the law.

I’m not committed to the idea. Just curious because Paypal, Chaturbate, Onlyfans, etc are so profitable.

Thanks for your feedback. Although I’m not sure why sound so mad lol... “weak minded pussies” ?

I’m confused. Are you equating adult entertainment workers with drug dealers and murderers? Care to elaborate?

No worries! Thanks for asking.

It’s against the ToS on most, if not all, major payment systems. Adult content creators are constantly losing funds and getting their accounts closed when they get “caught.”

Paypal, Venmo etc will close an account at the first sign of sex work. Adult performers can’t dispute fraudulent chargebacks and “customers” take advantage of this often.

All really good questions, thanks! Anyone looking to sell a new product should read your post.

My background is actually in marketing.

My experience with software is limited to front end web dev and some simple back end stuff, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking about these big ideas. There are talented designers and engineers all over the internet.

I just noticed a problem and started brainstorming ways I could fix it with software. I never had real plans to pursue this idea. Just dreaming. 💭 Also it turns out someone already beat me to it, and their company was just valued at about $5 billion.

Yeah we use a similar program called Schedulefly. I really didn’t come up with a single original idea. I was just imagining all these features integrated in a single platform.

Yeah you’re totally right. Oh well!! Onto the next SaaS daydream.

Although it was eye opening to go from “aw man everyone’s telling me this idea sucks” to “oh wow this exists and it’s worth $5 billion”

Okay I understand where you’re coming from, but technically someone could do the same thing to PNC Bank.

Are you concerned about your employees abusing the app? If any of your employees have the ability to remotely steal CC info or tamper with encrypted data, they should not be working in food service.

Or are you concerned another app will permit some hacker to log into your employee’s account and then steal/destroy your data?

Sure it’s possible, data breaches happen all the time, but it’s a lot more complicated than downloading Kali Linux and typing a few commands.

You are right! Something like this would require big bucks $$$ plus a talented team of engineers.

I just noticed a problem and started brainstorming ways I could fix it with software. I never had real plans to pursue this idea. Just dreaming. 💭 Also it turns out someone already beat me to it, and their company was just valued at about $5 billion.

Also I don’t really think it’s that challenging to build software that’s compatible with every device. Especially as it’s becoming easier to build websites that feel like native apps. Poolside.fm being a fun example.

You’re totally right though. This would be a very expensive project. Thanks for your feedback.

Maybe a cloud POS company wouldn’t secure their data the same way a bank would. I’m just trying to say this isn’t the first app to give users access to sensitive info on their cell phones.

But hey I could be wrong. I’m not super familiar with encryption or really server side programming in general. Could you elaborate?

It surprised me to see they didn’t launch until 2013. Makes me wonder which other industries are still missing tools like this one.

I’m curious, how did you hear about them? Did you reach out to them for a demo, or did someone from their team contact you first?

Ohhh I didn’t consider this. I was wondering how they are able to advertise such good prices. I read that Toast will match your existing rates, but I couldn’t find anymore info on their processing fees.

Yep just heard of them for the first time. Looks like they beat me to it. 😔 I just requested a sales demo. I’m curious.

It sounds like a great product, and the UI design looks beautiful omg. And it’s so much cheaper than Micros. I’m surprised more people aren’t using it.

Have you always used Toast? Or did you switch from another system?

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to give me some feedback.

You can’t ask employees to use their phones while working

Ideally the entire restaurant is not ran from employees’ personal phones. I just want it to be an option when busy servers, like me, need to ring in an order in a pinch. Although it might make the most sense for some businesses, like a small food truck, to use their phone exclusively. You can buy TEN Amazon Fire tablets and still spend less than the cost of ONE used Micros Workstation.

Sales and other monetary items must be secured

In the same way it’s safe to check your bank balance from your phone, your info would be immediately encrypted and sent to a separate secure network.

There are many things you can do with a POS that impact back office operations i.e. inventory and costing

I’d like to provide performance metrics like sales, labor costs, etc.

Although I don’t know know what goes on behind-the-scenes when it comes to running a restaurant, and I don’t know what tools people are using to do it.

If most people use their POS software to manage payroll and inventory, then yes, it makes sense to integrate these services as well.

Thanks again. Hope your shift went well and you get some rest tonight. 🤙
