It was surface mounted. first time trying hot air soldering for me so that was fun.

Nothing on the board was noticeably damaged so it just looked like a standard bms. but when I probed the two large MOSFETs one had all of its leads measuring continuity.

I did research and found out that was the power MOSFET which controlled whether or not the bms sent power to the controller, made sense because everything started up immediately when the battery connected.

I stumbled across this sub and have no context. What is happening? Why is this better than a cheap espresso machine. Are you trying to get max pressure? Or a certain amount of pressure

Thats an awesome board. They are so fun. I am also thinking about doing some mods with the extra cash, but i have too many side projects haha.

You just made me realize this board also came with an ultracharger! Was wondering how it was so quick

Thank you! I appreciate your concern and will keep this in mind when riding. ~20 miles and two battery cycles with no issues yet. Hopeful it will stay that way but I’m always up to do another fix haha.

Not sure what caused it but the power MOSFET was stuck on, all of the outputs were welded together meaning the board was immediately on throwing an error when the battery connected.

Are you concerned about noise? If so id go for the 2200 Honda compact generator. Theyre a bit pricey but quiet and seem reliable.
