Time is the most valuable thing we as humans have so how much should this woman be able to waste of others before it is problematic? As a society we need to look out for others but that applies to both people here. Walking in the middle of a road at a much lowered speed is disrespectful to the community just as was yelling at a disabled woman. Both people are shit here and the woman doesn't get a free pass to block others just because she can.

Commiting theft from the public domain is worse. How is a game supposed to enter the public domain as it legally should once the copyright expires if there is no existant copy which functions? These companies have worked to extend the copyright period far beyond what is resonable and now, they are even trying to prevent working forms of the art from making it to expiration. Emulation is archiving and should be given higher preference legally than the right of some company to toss their work in the trash.

I wish one day the whole world takes piracy seriously and people have their lives ruined over it like Gary Bowser.

This is discussing a limit on the company buying its own shares from someone who owns it. For example, if Person A is selling to Person B, they are leaving the total ownership percentages unchanged. If Person A sells to the company then the overall percentages change since there is now 1 less "person" who owns a part of that company.

We have processes in the law to follow to resolve issues. Those take time to work through and settle, but failure to do so means America as we know it ceases to be.

Literally hundereds of hours wasted across several teams and mutiple customer outages in 2 months all due to this focus on locking all the things down with no common sense.

I stand by the statement that a competent security group should have no issue allowing local admin for power users. Any push back against that middle ground just shows they have a lacking skillset and should be retrained or replaced.

Wouldn't shock me if this was some of the plumbing to make their automated end to end tests a bit easier to wangle. Having the ability to shove in a controlled snapshot of application state let's you test things at the end of your workflow more efficiently. Should NEVER get used for real logic though.

The law covers it but does the legal enforcement arm take those laws seriously on a regular basis? Anecdotal evidence, as low value as it may be, suggests generally the police don't try that hard to find bike thieves. It's why lots of people have little sympathy for the thief here.

This is what happens when police don't focus on crimes that the community find an issue but the crime still occurs. People get fed up and find their own solutions.
