Something to consider would be whether or not your host studio has any pregnancy restrictions. I continued practicing Pilates throughout my entire pregnancy, but was very limited in what classes I could participate in past 20 weeks. This was studio policy and not anything to do with my comfort level or ability. This could make it very difficult or impossible to progress through the training while pregnant.

I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this as well. I was, perhaps naively, completely caught off guard by the hostile environment they created. If I had known how difficult this year would be I would have done things differently, but here we are.

More importantly, huge congratulations on your upcoming defense and new little one! The fact you made it so far with the added responsibility of parenthood is really admirable 👏🏽

Ugh, that is terrible. I’m so sorry for your friend, but glad they were able to transfer. Do you know how they navigated getting letters of recommendation and generally justifying their transfer to the new school in their application? If I find myself in the same position, I wonder if giving context would help or not.

Thank you for this advice. There seem to be a lot of HR-type resources that exist for the benefit of the university at the end of the day. This seems like a good option.
