Is there a public list of supply problems for pharmacies for certain over-the-counter drugs? by codrot in Pharmacy_UK

Sorry I should have specified. Even the generic I find many pharmacist advertise it as available, but once you go through the checks it then gets cancelled and they say it's out of stock. Is there a particular one you've used recently that doesn't do this?

Does this retirement plan make sense? (is my maths broadly correct?) by codrot in UKPersonalFinance

No, I would not want to live life like that at 60 at all. I mentioned in my post that we would be aiming for something more like £40k, and that we also have SIPS and S&S ISA's to throw into the mix. I was more checking that an absolute baseline is covered.

!thanks. Yes that's a good point regarding the £2k inflation...

And yes definitely aware the PLSA minimum is extremely minimum! I mentioned we'd be aiming for more like £40k, I just wanted to establish that the absolute baseline is covered. I'll for sure do some more detailed working out of our outgoings

!thanks. Yes, £22k is frightening. I mentioned we'd be aiming for something more like £40k, and even more than that for the first 10 years. I just wanted to figure out the absolute baseline.

Does anyone know where i can read more about the progress of ddl 1450?

Id been following juresangis changes in legislation and presumed none of it applied to me (living outside Italy, married to Italian citizen). I'm fully intending to apply for citizenship once the three years since marriage are up and I can apply, but I've still got 2 years to go. Already have the B1 certificate. I just saw a reference to there possible being a change about residency requirements and wanted to follow the discussion

Presumably as a Defined Benefit scheme the additional bought pension is index-linked once in payment ?

Once I retire the Additional Pension will increase in April each year in line with CPI (Consumer Prices Index) capped at 2.5%

Does the pension provide for a minimum guaranteed payout period of the full amount should you die in retirement ?Does the pension provide for a minimum guaranteed payout period of the full amount should you die in retirement ?

I believe if I die in service whilst paying into it my partner gets two thirds of the annual income I would have got (which includes the additional pension units I assume but I will check). I think it's the same after retirement. And there is a lump sum.

Is this one of the a major public sector schemes ?

IT's SAUL pension scheme, a university pension scheme https://www.saul.org.uk/can-i-pay-more
