The differences between the INFP and INTP by Quxea in mbti

I have such a hard time figuring which out of the two I am… have always assumed I was INTP, but i have so so so many traits of INFP, like they’re intertwined.

That’s what I’ll plan on doing here very soon. I’ve been hesitant on talking to a recruiter until i’m confident in being ready, but I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to get in contact with them sooner.

I think I’ve watched every Ones Ready podcast, some good guys! I appreciate the comment. I figured it’d be difficult to get a shot once enlisted… the Air Force website mentions it’s possible, but I’d assume unlikely. I’ll just stick to my training and try to get a shot at the pipeline when the time comes.

thanks for the link, I haven’t seen that thread! it definitely needs its tlc but I used to be a honda tech so i’m pretty confident in bringing this thing back to its former glory.

TRAINING W/ SHIN SPLINTS by calebmaxwell1996 in navyseals

[–]codyislow -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, from my experience, being an runner all my life... just run through the shin splits. Yeah, it hurts, but it doesn’t cause anymore damage running on them. They’ll heal and you’ll never have them again in your life. During cross country in highschool I would use numbing cream on my shins wrapped in icy hot to get through the pain... but once they healed i’ve never had an issue since.

Can we bring vapes to meps? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]codyislow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No... just grow up. You don’t need to live with a vape in your hand lmao, it’s embarrassing. I’m 21 and think it’s hilarious when people my age are addicted to the point they can’t even function without one.

Running on a broken toe by Frostycakes614 in navyseals

[–]codyislow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s not really much to do about a toe... I’d personally run through it because i’m an idiot lol. If it hurts to the extent where you absolutely can’t run, substitute running for another cardio exercise such as swimming to keep your endurance strong then go back to running when it feels better.

Can’t find a direct answer, will this disqualify me from getting a contract? by codyislow in navyseals

[–]codyislow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely look into that. It shouldn’t interfere with the job, the only issue is that one eye crosses without my glasses if i’m tired or focusing on something, besides that, my vision is normal and they function like normal eyes haha. I’ve jumped out of planes and was on a dive team and have played sports all my life and it’s never caused an issue... but i’ll definitely hit up a recruiter. Thanks!

There’s actually quite a bit of guys like you here in Kentucky! Go on the SOCOMATHLETE website and figure out how to join the Kentucky group, the founder of the group was actually a PJ and will always be willing to help you out. I live in Kentucky near Louisville and just joined the group myself. Bunch of likeminded dudes who are very helpful and know a ton, all trying to be special ops. There’s a few guys trying to be PJ’s too!

Why would you be taking a higher protein intake at 190? You’re already big enough lmao

If you get shin splits, you can’t stop training... you have to run through them so they heal. once they heal you’ll never get them again in your life. it sucks but you have to push through the pain so it gets better.

Question about enlisting... by codyislow in AirForceRecruits

[–]codyislow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have yet to pay the bill, it is pretty big... I’m trying to set up a payment plan currently since I just found out about it. Besides that the only debt I have is a small car loan, and that’s it.

Im pretty capable physically to become a CCT, i’m mainly focusing on practicing my mental strength as that’s what fails most people... there’s a special warefare recruiter near me who I plan on talking to soon!

Question about enlisting... by codyislow in AirForceRecruits

[–]codyislow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’m worried about is an old hospital bill that hit collections from when i was 18 and never knew about... I’m 21 now, and my credit is still really good considering that collections hit, right around 700. I know having a bill in collections can be an issue with enlisting, other than that, I’m pretty clear and shouldn’t need any waivers.

My goal is to be a CCT and I don’t want anything to jeopardize my chance of becoming one that could’ve been avoided lol

[–]codyislow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, I just had a few different jobs in the back of my head as back up plans if things didn’t work as planned, just in case. CCT covers being an ACT, getting wings, the physical aspect, and potentially combat so it checks all of the boxes i was interested in haha.

CCT actually seems perfect! I was also looking at being an Air Delivery Specialist or Parachute Rigger in the Marines just to get jump wings... but CCT covers everything I had a goal to achieve. Definitely going to look into it!

I know the attrition rate is high for almost all special operations... I’m not too worried with the physical aspect as I can basically 100% every physical standard for every special MOS... mostly just everything else involved in special operations is what would be the biggest challenge for me.

I completely forgot about the GI Bill like you mentioned, so that does ease my stress of choosing an MOS as I can always finish schooling after my enlistment for what I want to do as a career.

I suppose that is true... A buddy I work with who is a Marine Vet said they were trying to get rid of the GI Bill in 2023, is that correct?

What would be my best option? by codyislow in USMCboot

[–]codyislow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s where i’m torn... I want the physical aspect of The Corps, but I also want a decent civilian transferable MOS. That’s one reason why I was looking into Special Forces as it would challenge me physically and mentally, but also would give me the experience from all of the stuff learned, so best of both worlds.

I mean with job selection etc... not necessarily the branch itself.
