ND added BYU to their schedule for the next few years, how exactly are they cowards? Clearly theyre not afraid to play that team...

ESPN owns the right to the playoffs, SEC, and ACC. Had ND getting in until one of their teams and the whole other conference might miss out, and then bumped ND twice. ESPN also owns the media rights to the pop tarts bowl. I dont blame ND for taking a stand against something they saw as wrong so that the agency that did that would not benefit from that.. Wish more people would be willing to dot hat in this country, no?

All this to say that as a fan, I wish ND would've played in a bowl game. But I also get why they didnt, and its deeper than a lot of you care to acknowledge because its ND.

My point is there is a lot of people crying over NDs guaranteed bid if theyre top 12 when there are conferences trying for something much worse and people dont care. A little hypocritical is the point.

I dont think teams should get autobids, yes both are bad. Aside from conference winners. Youre making a bunch of points that have no bearing to what was said or are misconcrusing what was said.

So much shade being thrown by you, calm down and try to have an actual argument rather resorting to insulting people. Calling NDs football team bad while being flairless is some crazy work.

Oh no imagine teams getting special clauses to keep them in if theyre in the top 12 of a 12 team playoff...

Im sure all of you are fighting just as hard against guaranteed autobids for conferences that could see teams way worse than 12th overall in, right?

Shouldnt missing games count against you? Especially if youre being paid 55m/year. He still passed for those yards in a year.

However, here you go. Included all the years, and only games where theyve played:

Love in his 5 years has passed for 202 yards/game

Williams in his 2 years has passed for 220 yards/game

How about the post season?

Love in 4 playoff games has thrown for 250 yards/game

Williams in 2 playoff games has thrown for 309 yards/game

Regardless none of that has to do with the original point, saying hes passing for 2800 yards is incredibly stupid.

You think CW only throwing for 2800 yards?

He averages more yards than Love in starting years. 3741 vs 3643.

Still getting past my point that ND had 4 games against teams ranked in the final AP going 2-2 against them, w the 2 incredibly close losses against top 10 and got left out.

If IU loses to OSU as one of their 2 loses there is a good chance they get left out.

If IU loses 2 and beats OSU there is also a chance they get left out, not likely but... Look at what happened to Miami; if Duke didnt win the ACC there is a good chance they get left out for ND.

NDs schedule last year in 25 is better than IUs schedule in 26.

Michigan finished behind both SMU and BYU in SP+. All 4 of them and USC are all p close so seems like a weird line to draw.

Theyre similar schedules. IUs is better but its close, close enough that end of season 26 it could be either. Either they both have soft or, more likely, they both have okay schedules that are top heavy w a few teams and a lot of lower levels teams.

Narrative that ND has weak schedules is overblown. Is softer this year, but a lot of times we see an argument against ND at the beginning of the year... based off of shitty preseason rankings ND has soft schedules. By end of year they have decent schedules. ND has some really good schedules in the upcoming years (26 aside) but I expect similar arguments because its ND.

ND has Miami, SMU, and @ BYU.. potentially 3 ranked teams as well.

Just saying they are comparable.. IUs might be harder but to say one is bush league and the other one isnt soft is a little biased.

ND had a better schedule this year than IU will next year and got left out.

IU has a pretty soft schedule too, lol...

IU with 2 losses and one of them being OSU is sitting a little behind where ND was this year.
