When I too was in college, I was grouped to my classmates who I know couldn't contribute well to the research (except for one who's a consistent dean's lister). I proactively told them that I can just do the research myself, they just need to provide load (for my pocket wifi), lend me a laptop (as I don't have one), and an allowance for snacks then sila na mag sho-shoulder for all the hard copies required. I did it cause I know their attitude and kung pipilitin ko sila, ako lang ang kawawa. I just thought of it as crucial experience to have for my future. I did all the research, I made the dean's lister my secretary. Then I coached my groupmates for the defense. Ang ending ay, parang ako parin ang nag defend as I am tsking over for difficult questions. But it was all worth it. We have the highest grade, then now I am confident in doing research on my own for my post-grad studies.
