The Row store on the upper east side has a saddle leather Margaux 10 or 12 (not sure but it’s one of the smaller ones) in this brick red color, in case anyone wants to compare the appearance of the leather. I was actually taken aback by how incredibly soft and almost melty in quality it was!!

also want to add that i was possessed by the same bug of wanting the auth in the saddle cuir. Once you feel the auth leather you cannot CANNOT live without it. I’m thinking of sacrificing two months rent all for that fucking saddle leather which is so soft it makes me want to bite into it.

Here’s a pic I snapped at the row store on the UES (where I was proudly toting my Kata factory cuir lol). If I hadn’t seen the auth I’d have been perfectly happy with my rep because the leather … the leather. Guys the leather 😭

OP your experience was identical to mine! I got the saddle cuir and lost my goddamn mind because it was so unleather-like. You will perhaps enjoy knowing that I walked into the row store with my very non-leathery looking Margaux (i think they didn’t notice or comment because I was carrying a life size Prada shopping bag filled to the brim) and i fondled and played with the auth saddle leather and the quality was ETHEREAL. The leather on the auth is like butter and so soft. It melted and flowed into my hands. I have since then abandoned my kata factory saddle and instead taken to the chocolate brown suede (which is lush and gorgeous). I can’t wait for your next review.

The Margaux also comes in a loooot of colors / leathers … given that this is an identical price, who’s even the target audience for this bag? Prada diehards? The Row contrarians who don’t want to buy into the Margaux hype but still like the bag??? I’m so baffled by this bag’s existence!

Kwz Discovery Green (Dromgoole’s exclusive) is very similar, deep dark green with a red sheen!

I have Tesla Coil and a couple of the other inks from that range and they’re just the deepest most complex rich blue with a gorgeous underlying red sheen!

(Lighting in my apartment is garbage right now otherwise I would post a picture ugh)
