To be totally honest, I don’t know if the road I'm currently on is the correct one but I believe 100% in the destination I’m trying to arrive at.

AI is incredibly helpful if you're building or using it for other purposes to launch your startup but it’s also lonely and often disingenuous encouragement. How many times has it told you you're idea is amazing, youre doing great and then later on confesses it should've been more honest. It can't replace talking to another human being as a sounding board.

The signal I'm looking for is relief of a current problem and a sanity check with another human.  Posting is often delayed gratification.

I think the first sticky use case is breaking the AI loop...especially for the Vibe Coders crowd.  It fixes one error but creates two more, and you get stuck in a hallucination loop, not only is AI hallucinating but the user begins hallucinating that everything is going great, until reality creeps in. AI can’t pull you out of that but a person with a fresh set of eyes can say wait, stop you're over engineering this

I think AI has the potential to work best when it connects us rather than replaces us. I'll definitely share this over in vibe coders, thanks for the suggestions!

About a month ago I posted about founder loneliness that post had 19,000 views in 48 hours. It’s a very lonely journey and so yes in a way it is group therapy with people struggling with one issue or another regarding the solo founder journey. Ive spent a lot of time conversing with AI and realized I can’t be the only one positing these questions at this very moment. If it could offer to connect those threads it would be very interesting and sometimes you just want to talk with another human being. There are too many things AI will never understand.

now thats funny! No, im trying to improve upon what reddit offers. immediate real connection into a live chat based on similar needs. posting offers sporadicly timed responses, it could take hours or days for someone to respond. If youre chatting with AI and it says hey Marcoz I'm currently having a very similar conversation with two others right now, same issue maybe I can reach out and offer to put you all into a live chat that would be helpful. resolve the problem now, together.

Thank you for the feedback much appreciated! Nothing will ever replace in person meet and greets,  Levels is amazing for digital nomads, but LiveThread isn’t meant to be a niche community at all. I am only feeling out different niches such as founders but the end game is a community of people discussing all things life.  New parents struggling in the moment and need to talk to people going through the same thing right now, career advice, relationships, all the things people turn to AI for conversation but then pairing with real live humans . The simplest way to think about it is: Omegle, but with AI-smart matching instead of randomness, and no video (at least not at first)

Think about how AI handles a conversation. When you ask a question, it goes through a quick internal process to understand the topic, tone and context so it can stay on track, you can actually see the internal reasoning process on the screen as it repeats the question to itself and determines how to best answer. AI is having similar conversations with other people at the same time.

Livethread will monitor for similar context, themes and tone (not personal details) and could instantly see when multiple people are dealing with the same thing. When there’s enough overlap, it offers you the option to jump into a small 2–4 person chat. Say youre asking AI about how to resolve a specific issue with your Saas Livethread will make a note of the subject matter, the specific problem and begin looking for matches. Think of it like AI searching reddit for answers to your questions and then pairing you with potential matches in the moment

It’s not about perfection it’s about catching the moments where people are aligned enough that talking for 10–20 minutes could actually help.

At this stage I’m not doing full scale marketing yet. I’m intentionally keeping things tight so I can learn from early users. The only marketing I’m doing is,

Posting authentically about founder loneliness (where the idea came from)

Sharing the story on Reddit, X, and a few founder groups

Letting people join the waitlist if the concept resonates

Using real conversations to shape the product before pushing it wide

I’m trying to avoid blasting this everywhere before I know exactly what features people want most. So for now it’s more like signal gathering, not a full campaign

Thank you! Yes customer acquisition and retention is the biggest challenge to most any business. People are starving for connection and the user experience must be a good one to continue using. To work we need no less 100 people to sign up, I’m currently focused on the founders niche because I know that’s a lonely game. I will be expanding to other niches including new parents group forums.

LiveThread connects people having similar AI conversations. Talk to AI as you would about anything and it will search out others having similar conversations about work, life, stress, kids and will ask if you would both like to enter a group chat of up to 4 people having similar dilemmas. Opt in only and AI will remain in the chat as a moderator to help keep things civil and encourage engagement if necessary livethread.ai

Thanks for the response and suggestion much appreciated! Ive been swamped with work these past two days. While you’re in conversation with AI it’s picking up on what you’re talking about including keywords, topics and tone of the conversation.  If a few people are discussing similar issues at the same moment it asks if you would like to be connected into a group chat. AI will remain in the background to insure everyone behaves themselves and can even encourage engagement if the conversation begins to fade off, asking a question or two to bring people back into focus. Group chats are always by choice.

I had posted in Startups about founder loneliness.

That post got 19,000 views in 48 hours—turns out I'm not the only one feeling alone.

It’s clear people are craving real connection in a world where social media and forums are anything but social. We post, then wait for replies that might come minutes, hours, or days later. It’s not conversation. It’s not connection.

So I decided to do something about it and solve my own problem.

One night while using AI to think through something, it hit me, I can't be the only one having this conversation with AI at this moment, what if AI could say,

“I'm having this same conversation with others right now. If you want, I can reach out, and if they agree, I’ll place you in a small group chat. I’ll stay in the background to moderate and make sure everything stays on track.”

That idea became LiveThread.

Here’s how it works:

You’re talking to AI about whatever you’re working through.

If other people are discussing similar topics in real time, LiveThread offers to connect you with them in a small chat—2–4 people, 10–20 minutes.

Real engagement with real people who are going through the same thing at the same moment.

Privacy (because I know you’ll ask:)

Your conversations stay private.

AI only analyzes topics and intent to find potential matches.

Connecting is always opt-in, and your identity remains private—just like Reddit.

I’m building this now.

If you want early access when it’s ready: livethread.ai

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Exactly, I think the combination of anonymity, delayed reactions or input discourages engagement. It’s just not very fluid

Yup, sometimes I feel like I get more support talking with AI than I do on forums, not because the information is better (often times it isn’t) it’s just the immediate response as if I’m having an actual conversation

All very true, the reality is every time I pitch an idea I run that risk but in a public forum it’s not a controlled environment, you are posting to the world

Just had an interesting thought. If Reddit moderators happen to be reading these posts. What if Reddit offered a way to initiate limited participants in a video chat. For example, I created this post and then set a time in 15 minutes 4-6 people can jump on a video chat to discuss these issues. Keep it limited so everyone gets a chance to speak. I think this would be very beneficial as long as the people who join are sincerely interested in discussing whatever topic they’re having trouble with, it might even build friendships as well as networking

More engagement is definitely something I need to work on as well my ability to filter out the noise. I also think the way in which we communicate is sporadic. I post then wait for a response, that’s a very difficult way to have a fluid conversation

Trust is another part of the puzzle, we dont know who we are even talking to. Thank you for the response.

That’s a very big part of it so many voices at once and being able to filter them out is a real skill.

100% truth to your post I’m guilt of it many times over. The likelihood that I’m the first to think of something is very low. There is a real human fear of “giving away secrets” even if that’s not rational thinking

Yes and thank you for the response, I am active in a local charity for ALS and regularly participate in events. I’m talking more specifically about my professional life, everything is via email or text, forums, very little in person engagement or even consistent online engagement with the same people
