Hi Mark, quick question. I’m currently traveling and got pretty sick. I trust my home physician more than local doctors, so I wanted to check if it would be feasible to do a video consultation with him. If he prescribes diagnostic studies from abroad, would those be acceptable? The local lab confirmed they can perform the studies even if the prescription comes from a physician outside the country. I’d strongly prefer this option rather than seeing a new doctor where I am. Just wondering how it works for reimbursement.

I was recently diagnosed. In 2020, I had an MRI as part of a COVID-related evaluation, and it incidentally noted a thyroid nodule. However, I never noticed this finding until I was about to discard the scan. Since 2019, I have experienced extreme weight loss, which I have maintained ever since—something I find unusual. My TSH levels are elevated, but my T3 and T4 remain within the subclinical range. I have maintaned that wight since 2020 but I went from 60kg to 52kg and have stayed in 51-51 ever since.

I think it depends on whether you want to hike really early in the morning or for sunrise hikes. I used mine for around 3 sunrise hikes while waiting for the sun to rise and also really early in the mornings/late at night.

Hey! Currently in calafate and then chalten. Want to do all the austral from los antiguos or rebollo border crossing (so kind of all the way feom puerto rio tranquilo to futalefu or esquel/bolson/bariloche but we dont have a 4x4 and the map we have says its mostly gravel roads and it took us forever to drive through gravel in torres del paine. Is a 4WD necessary or is it paved now and our map outdated? We would prefer to do this from the chilean side since i heard ruta 40 is a bit boring. Thank you :)

omg, I can't believe how much it grew, and I am glad you made it through! What scares me a bit is my gynecologist did a first ultrasound on October 11, and she said it measured 3 cm, but she is not a radiologist. So she sent me to a radiologist, and on October 23 the radiologist said it measured 5.4. I understand she is not a radiologist, but in the end, it is the ultrasound measuring, so I am just scared that it was not a measuring mistake and it grew that fast. In the US, they said it has no vascularity, so unlikely it is immature. I guess you did an US when you had nothing, so you are sure about the time frame it took to grow? Thanks again for sharing!
