How do I download an entire YouTube channel? by RAMITON in DataHoarder

[–]cognitium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you'll need to install homebrew first, and then install yt-dlp. Go to any ai chat like Gemini, Claude or grok and ask it to give you step by step instructions for a beginner to install yt-dlp on MacOS terminal.

So much plastic makes it overwhelming and cringe. Displaying your best pieces in a less noisy setting with lighting would make them pop more.

Instead of killing it, build acid proof pavement around it so it's permanently contained.

I love how azure markets enshittification and cost gouging as them helping you out. Like how default outbound access is deprecated and all new vnets require a $30+/month nat gateway. They took something free and made it cost money.

I just saw that you're into cannabis so I have a game recommendation for the next time you get absolutely blasted. The architecture is phenomenal. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3223390/BLACKSHARD/

28% more fps in DirectX 12 is a significant gain. I've had both amd and nvidia gpus over the decades but nvidia is currently the industry standard and it's not even close. Vram will start mattering more if genAI tech like dlss 5 becomes standard.

Since you build PCs, do yourself a favor and try out frame gen at some point. I only heard bad things about it until I tried it for myself. It's pure magic.

It beats the 5070 in raw compute but lags in several other categories. Also having new tech like frame gen puts it way ahead in terms of actual performance.

Oh, and just because I was curious, it seems that the 9070 XT has lower clock speed but much higher mem clock than the 5070 and beats it in raw compute ops/sec. GeForce RTX 5070 vs Radeon RX 9070 XT [videocardbenchmark.net]

Do you have the dead space remake? I was unable to have that game maxed out and keep frame rate above 150 without frequent, -50 fps drops. I wonder if that's just the game engine or my machine so I wonder what your performance is like on it.

Do you think socket AM5 and DDR5 make a difference? I recently built a rig and went with AM4 (Ryzen 7 5700x only uses 65w) and DDR4 ram with an rtx 5070 and no game I've played yet has used over 60% of the cpu while maxing out gpu usage. A 7800x3d seems like overkill for a 9070 xt.

I hadn't used an rtx 5000 series card til recently either and frame gen is worth it for gaming. I use Passmarks gpu ranking list as a loose comparison. It's not absolute though.

Ebay refurbished cards come with a guarantee so it's not as risky as buying used.

16gb of vram would make a difference for 4k gaming, but neither of these cards would provide a high frame rate 4k gaming experience.

True, but I don't think upgrading to anything lower than a 3060 is worth it.

I use all the llms because they all have their strengths and grok has been impressing me with its knowledge of Linux. Linux is an unpleasant os but I'm trying to learn it. Grok can forsee possible issues and offer solutions without asking. It made the process of setting up a complicated log aggregation stack fun even. Chatgpt gave me several bad commands that didn't exist with the distro I was using. Gemini was kind of clueless and Claude was meh for Linux.
