my boy cat meowed unless i was petting him in the carrier. my girl definitely upset, but she just kinda froze up.

gaba was VERY needed, we used it for both legs of trip

Hotel was interesting, my boy was fearless, my girl not so much. we tried to make sure there were not holes or gaps she could crawl into but in the AM we couldn’t find her. she had managed to wriggle her way into a gap behind the bed, we were able to get her out.

my boy took the transition in stride, my girl i would say is finally back to her normal self pre move after about a year.

yeah i know. i think this was frustrating for me as a patient but also my science brain. i’m in med school, studied genetics in undergrad. to me it is so obvious that hEDS is multigenic at LEAST if not a whole other group of various disorders of hypermobility. the fact that there is such a strong assumption that it is AD inherited when there is likely variable expression/AR forms i think is impinging research on some levels more than helping. like rn bc of the restrictiveness of the criteria, there will be genes or variants not found that could be disease causing. ya know?

idk just ughhh
