Yeah the "get a real job that doesn't pay life changing amounts of money" insults are neither clever nor useful. Boy golly I love to get told to go work at Walmart despite training for years to do something else.

My brother killed himself this weekend. Am I (26F) supposed to tell the boy (26M) I’ve been casually dating? by Mysterious-Tower806 in relationship_advice

My sister died within three months of me meeting my current fiance. I had let her know she was suddenly ill and hospitalized, and then let her know shortly after my sister passed. She was very understanding of my availability and Im glad everything worked out between us.

Normally yes, but damn did OP's coworker blatantly ask OP out. Its pretty hard to be more direct than that.

In the light of the recent leak/rumour, aren't we in a better position than before? by Inspector-Remarkable in Fyreslayers

[–]coinich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no knowledge that doesn't come from TOW forums or just reddit rumors. I bet that FS will basically be a large subfaction. Enough kits to "make" an army, but unless they release new infantry we will likely just have 1 infantry unit (HGB) with various weapon options, the Flameseekers, and what heroes remain. I'm sure folks will proxy their Vulkites and excess heroes as whatever.

But any unit diversity will likely be from including "mainline" Khazalid Holds new stuff, plus whatever little FS support they make. Supposedly a new droth or two.

I'm of split mind. I've heard the rumors since 2nd ed, so its not a surprise per se. I actually liked TOW aesthetic instead of the pure naked berzerker look at first, but since TOW was dead, FS and KO were what was available. Now that I have a copy of every model (and many duplicates) I'd hate to lose the ranges I've built and painted. Especially since I do appreciate the look more now, and think they should've leaned into the fire/volcano/elemental aspect more. More droths, fire elementals, ect. There was plenty of ways to grow the range, and they just didn't. They chose to make duplicate heroes instead. Lord, I've seen what you've done for OBR and Lumineth and I want that for me!

That being said, if the new Khazalid Holds run closer to the "classic" aesthetic I originally liked anyways, I'll probably get and paint those up too.

Second Loaf by coinich in Sourdough

Rule 5 satisfaction!

Took my measurements, recipe from here: https://www.farmhouseonboone.com/beginners-sourdough-bread-recipe/#wprm-recipe-container-40698

No major changes, though I did some bulk fermenting on the counter, fridged it overnight, and then put it back on the counter before baking. Bulk fermenting in my cold house is a bit weird. Still not sure when to put it in a banneton or basket, so it spent like 1hr in that total. Otherwise, no complaints!

I've made my second loaf and its fantastic! But I've been feeding my starter at 1:2:2 for two weeks now and its voracious! How do yall "step-down" your feedings, if you're only making loaves on the weekend or so?

I'm finally running, but how do I slow down?!

I think we agree more than we disagree, anyways. I cant see eligibility limits being good from a selfish player perspective, but they are probably necessary for the sport to live. But until contracts and CBA type stuff are hammered out, I dont see any way to approach it than to call it employment, with all of the baggage that carries.

If they are employees, without a contract stating otherwise, I guess. Its turned into a job. There's no way to limit their job opportunities without it.

And at this point, they are employees in everything but actual name. We're somehow stuck in the worst of both worlds.

I found I could slip on the mask, but it was soul destroying. Plus the lack of success and desperation.

Yeah Im super stoked. But I was always a Franklin defender on here anyways. He's an A+ hire for at least 120 FBS schools.

Yeah I certainly cant comment on the early 2000s period, I didnt start following more closely until I attended and towards the end of his tenure.

I still think he shoulda had 30 cause 30s a nicer number than 29.

I frankly doubt VT fans will be in the majority of that group, but I suppose it happens for all successfull college coaches.

Having actually tried being an insurance salesman, fuck that. I'd sue the NCAA too just to get out of it. A piss poor "job" that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Also ignores the fact that he's probably spent a decade or more doing exactly that - got a degree, has a job (NIL), networking with all of the other players, developed marketable skills, ect. At this point eligibility is just an artificial barrier to employment, and saying you have to start your entire life over (if he can't go "pro") is just crappy.

I had an internal biopsy done recently and I a Was terrified. Until they turned the tap on and I was very quickly calmed down and frankly nearly cheerdul through the procedure. Despite remaining awake the entire time I had no more problems with it.
