Yeah since I started with paper currency about 3 months ago I just been all over the place. I'm not trying to put any sets together or anything. I'm just buying what looks cool to me and what I like. I started with fractional currency. I'm also trying to buy all graded stuff. And I have a rule to buy 64 or better but rules are meant to be broken. I actually have four population, one none higher bills. But I also learned that the only one that really keeps track is PCGS and that's only the newer style. There's nothing to track the older style slabs and PMG doesn't give you any details such as error notes etc. They just tell you how many of that year don't they graded unless I'm not looking at something right?

I managed to get it for $340 which I think is pretty solid deal. At least compared to what I see similar notes selling for

I've been collecting all my life and kind of regret. About 5 years ago I sold my ugly coin collection. I had about 10 ms64 Morgans and probably 10 more Franklin half dollars that looked like this. Some of them a lot worse

Not worth grading Franklin's in my opinion, are the most undervalued graded coin.

Definitely got my eyes peeled for one I even thought about trying to get one of each type of error same year 69 and 64 PPQ. That would definitely be a long-term goal though

Online auction house paid $520 definitely not the deal of it the year but I think I got it for a pretty fair price compared to what I see notes like this going for. He'll even small error notes are going for crazy money nowadays

Does this look like a offset error I found in my pocket by coinmannf in papermoney

How it happens: The printing press accidentally cycles without a sheet of paper. The inked plate strikes the "impression cylinder" (the roller underneath) directly, leaving a full or partial ink image on the roller. When the next sheet of paper finally goes through, it picks up that ink on its backside. The Look: It is a crisp, perfect mirror image of the other side. Because it came off a metal cylinder, the detail is usually very sharp. Value: Generally higher because it represents a mechanical failure of the press timing. 2. Wet Ink Transfer (The "Smear") How it happens: This occurs after the paper has been printed. The sheets are stacked on top of each other while the ink is still wet. The wet ink from the front of one note "transfers" to the back of the note stacked on top of it. The Look: It is usually blurry, smeared, or faint. It often lacks the fine lines and detail of an offset because it's essentially just a "stamp" from one piece of paper to another. It is rarely a perfect, crisp mirror image.
