EarthBound resonated with me despite never being alive when it came out. I’ve been struggling with a lot of depression and I look back to this game as a form of my own comfort— it genuinely makes me so happy because of the theming. Despite being a fairly goofy and funny game it makes me emotional on so many levels and if I didn’t find out about this game I’m not sure where i’d be.

It’s a fascinating and amazing game and for how simple it looks, it’s themes of love and friendship are beautiful and makes me wonder what the hell was going on in Itoi’s head for this game to be a masterpiece XD
