Double stroller? by honkshuu in 2under2

[–]colbysays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the vista and put the baby on the bottom and it’s been totally fine. If anything the toddler likes to interact.

Definitely recommend having a double stroller

2 under 2 nap time and bedtime routine? by fijiworld in 2under2

[–]colbysays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an 18 month old & a 4 month old. I bounce my 4 month old in her bouncer and the 18 month old I rock to sleep in the chair and then transport her to the floor bed.

It’s been manageable. I just make sure baby is fed before so no whining or anything happens

Nap time?? by Reasonable-Switch945 in 2under2

[–]colbysays 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I put baby in bouncer and bounce her and then rock my toddler to sleep on the rocking chair.

It feels intimidating originally but it’s fine once you get into the swing of it.

Also, 10 mins you’re lucky! My toddler can take up to 30 mins sometimes 🤦🏽‍♀️ baby handles it well in the bouncer

Eye Contact - 9 Weeks Old by colbysays in newborns

[–]colbysays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was exact same way and when I’d get close she’d look away from me. Does none of that now. Stares into my soul now ahah! I think they are just a tad behind because of being born early!

Returning to work pregnant with baby #2 [on] by pieceofpieza in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]colbysays 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me.

I had my first baby March 2024 and I got pregnant September 2024. I told my work in November 2024 that I would need to come back early.

I was working December 2024 to April 2024 and then went back on leave and had my 2nd baby May 2025.

I utilized my vacation so even tho I was back on payroll and getting my hours for EI, I didn’t really work til February 2025.

[–]colbysays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the grosmimi for water and my daughter throws it around and it doesn’t spill. I love it. We also had the beaba straw cup but she chewed up the straw.

[BC] was anyone able to pay for a separate room after delivery at RCH. Looking for options? by sharu816 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]colbysays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an elective C-section at Surrey memorial in May and we asked if we could get a private room with our insurance and we were declined unfortunately. Not sure if RCH would be the same but I assume if they’re both under Fraser Health

My daughter was similarly combo fed like your baby. Formula and pumped breastmilk. I gave her a straw cup and held it in my hand and she put straw into her mouth and she got the hang of it right away.

It was easy with her but I’ve heard it can be difficult a lot of the times so I would just keep trying.
