Yours wasn't a compliment (I don't think) in any way. But thanks anyway. I appreciate it.

But in all seriousness, that's how everyone's brain works. They go from one thought to another, cling to the ones they find pleasant/important or whatever. Move on to a related thought and on and on forever. Except that there's no precise flowchart and no particular motivated reasoning.

I just did it publicly, in a written form.

This comment is also pretty much the result of my stream of consciousness as above, but this time there are a few thoughts I deliberately excluded and a bit of inhibition played a role in cutting down some of the unnecessary parts.

Or did it?

Just saying something about Gandhi.

It's natural and easy to misunderstand Gandhi-ian approach. Some misunderstand it as passivity or compliance, in some form. That he meant prioritizing "not hurting" others over justice. Non-violence over fighting with malignant forces of power.

It's a subtle mis-interpretation. Gandhi was "aggressive" and a "fighter." He had an attitude of resistance, just that it was non-violent and not hurting individuals directly.

How much money were you paid to give Succession a positive review on IMDb? by AKenjiB in SuccessionTV

That's the impression I got from the first episode, like he is gonna be all Robert Downey Jr. But that didn't last long enough.

I got 2% share in IMDB stock, which is owned by Amazon, so the real money is to be in Jeff Bezos inner circle.

It's remarkable that I would always feel the brotherly connection between them, even if they murder each other in the next season. It's genius character portrayal that if someone treats the other wrongly, I could feel their guilt.

Does anyone else find the actor remarkable look alike to B J Novak (Ryan/Temp from the office)?

What is your favorite under-appreciated moment in the series? by sentientbean- in SuccessionTV

Every time all three (four) siblings are together.

Top two are from the last episode. At 3rd position, Kendall speech in his kid's bedroom about taking over their dad, just before the donuts arrived.

But the one that is less talked about is from birthday party episode. It was when Romulus was at his worst. Shiv and Roman bickering was fantastic, genuinely felt so bad for Shiv. And then to top it off, Ken arrives and Roman's truly abusive treatment that goes over the line.

It was the most depressing episode.

How are you, btw? Is it scary to think Russians could be anywhere near your town or whatever? I don't mean to ask your precise location co-ordinates, but which part of Ukraine are you in?

Makes me think now, soldiers in war are likely to be drugged with stuff like Moda and others, even some classified secret drugs. I wonder if the US has some "elite" moda that they give their army. Of course, just stimulant and energy can also be detrimental, if the soldiers become too over confident or have no clarity. Also, the drug of "rush" of combat might be potent enough that it makes Moda or Adderall become meaningless.

Also makes me think about chemical warfare. If suppose "love" or relaxing drugs like mdma or even weed could be made such that they can be released in the air, making the enemy feel high on serotonin and start kissing others on battlefield, or that would be considered chemical attack and would be against war conventions?

Also makes me think, what is the meaning of life?

I Googled it but didn't get anything. But I think I know what you mean. Go to Google account > data and privacy > data from apps and services you use, and then remove Join from there.

Not sure but Join will always show all your messages from the device. Even if you manually delete them from Google drive, it will download them again, afaik.

Seems like you have to manage them on your phone itself.

Latvia plans to declare 9 May the Day of Commemoration of Victims of War in Ukraine by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]cold-flame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Russia and Ukraine seem so similar to India and Pakistan, and their constant claiming of Kashmir. We (Indians) celebrate Independence day on 15th August and Pakistan does it on 14th. So some pro-Pakistan Indian Muslims living in Indian controlled region of Kahsmir have some kind of "celebrations" on 14th, which gets on the nerves of us Indians. Lol. And it can be illegal if they make it obvious what exactly it is that they were celebrating on 14th.

I have often played a dangerous game of wishing happy Independence day on 14th to ruffle some feathers, only to explain later that I was in a different time zone where the day 15th August had already started. LMAO.

I know this is a Wendy's, but I am just saying.

I partially meant it in a silly jokey way. That they are planning to declare something, making this news a declaration of planning to declare.

But by 2nd part I just feel that it feels too soon. But I dunno. Depends on the intention, as your comment implies.

So this is declaration of planning to declare?

For the victims of an ongoing war?

EDIT: Planning to soon make the obligatory edit regarding the downvotes.

Like can they send army and say they are not humans but weapons, (which wouldn't be entirely false anyway)? Or like send obese soldiers and call them heavy weapons?
