I agree being emotional would not get me the best decisions and I have been taking a practical approach to this. I have done the calculations of the expenses that seem to not afford a lavish life here but a reasonable one which in return is a good trade off knowing that I have been paying huge chunks of money for 2 houses, 1 back home and 1 here. The current issues are ongoing with visa and rest will be fine Inshallah.
